Good morning girls!! Well this morning I am feeling a little bit better knowing that my measuring is good!! I also took a HPT yesterday when I got home and it was so dark and that was after drinking water all day long and peeing!(Dollar Tree test at that!) I know that I crazy, but all in all it calmed me down!

So it was a little warm in our house yesterday when I got home and I tried to pull out some of my old shorts, and that was not happening. I have gained 10 lbs since last summer (I call it my depression eating!) So I went into the maternity clothes that I have been given and whipped out some shorts!! Let me tell you those things are so cool!! NO BUttons or Zippers!

As for me I am still doing good, and I think that I had my first real bout with the nausuea fairy!! I was driving to work and really wanted to pull over, but could not because there was no shoulder! Chris and I were talking last night and he said that he will be so happy to see me throw up!! Isn't that sweet!!

Well enough about me!

Amy- I love the shirts!! Sorry to hear about the sore throat!

Haha, Jenn...on any normal day, if my dh told me he was glad to see me throw up, I would slug him!

Shannon, you know, I was going to order the doppler, but I've decided against it.

Carolyn, I think it could be reassuring from 14 weeks till you start to feel movement regularly... but by then we are at much lower risk of loss anyway and hope to start relaxing. My problem is that I don't want to use the doppler daily - just when I need to know its okay because I am a bit worried. That is nto the right time to have trouble finding a heartbeat!

Anyway - anyone still feeling lousy around 12 weeks? I have been feeling really ill the past 3-4 days and nothing tastes good. I can only eat small amounts (but lots of them because I'm hungry). I am extremely tired and its hard to keep up with Frost all day on vacation. We haven't been camping once despite great weather. I feel such a slacker.

Oh, I saw the naturopath yesterday and she said I am borderline anemic and need to eat leafy green vegetables, barley greens and start the codliver oil & calcium again in smaller quantities. Also, carrots. She is concerned I am getting deficiencies like my first pregnancy.

HiJack thread -
Just piping in here ladies - Shannon I was told by a midwife that drinking a tbl of cholrophyll 1-2x/day really helps with your iron levels.
I drink World Organic liquid chlorophyll available at any health food store. And it just tastes like mint.

kay - see you ladies for real shortly I hope.
Rachel

Jenn – I’m with you on the mat pants. I gained weight while TTC, then while pg for 3 months, then while being sad about the m/c…. so I’m starting about 20-30lbs heavier than I would have liked! We’ll have a lot of work ahead of us once we have those babes in our arms, but it will all be worth it.

I should read ahead and make sure no one already asked this, but here goes anyway:

Where did you find those shirts?! I was dying laughing, especially the last two!

Shannon - I know how you feel with the doppler. It took over a week of trying every other day to find mine and I still struggle now and then. It really depends on the baby's position. Yesterday I popped it on and bam - there it was! Other days I am frustrated to search for 20 minutes or more. I find not eating beforehand helps because less blood rushes to my abdomen and so my own hb is quieter.

Try jiggling like Jen-ay, move into different areas you might not always try, use a ton of jelly/lotion, and take deep breaths to make your heart stay slow and quieter. That's about all I can think of that helps me. It might just be a really crappy machine! If you caught something as fast as 160, even for a split second, that is a great sign.

Molly, Jenn & Crystal - I finally took your cues and moved down. But I haven a feeling I'll be here lingering for a while longer.

All - thanks for the words of comfort. My mom told me this baby is going to need an intravenous drip of Prozac before it's even born! Hopefully happy calm things are on the way for baby's sake....

Best,
Cassi

Shannon: Sounds like you figured out the doppler, at least for a little bit. I'm sure your bean is fine. I'm sorry that thing is providing frustration when it should be providing you some sanity! Hope you get the hang of it soon.

I'm feeling exhausted lately. And DH has about had enough with the doctor recommendeded abstaining from sex. I've gotta say that I agree with DH on this one. I can't wait until my parenting class on Thursday. I'm going to ask for a doppler check. Maybe the nurse will be able to provide some guidance with the no-sex issue too? I hope so, cause the only way I'm getting any now is by dreaming about it. I had a sex dream last night, thank god, cause that's the only way I'm getting any. I've only recently been feeling well enough to be "up to the task" of DTN.

But you know, even in my dream I was worried. Sheesh, I can't even dream properly.

I've got tomorrow and Thursday off from work. Yay!! Hopefully I'll feel well enough to do something fun. I got home today and had a migraine. OUCH! I had some caffeine by drinking some Barq's and I had DH give me a back and neck massage. It actually helped! I couldn't believe it. Tylenol usually either doesn't work or just worries me cause some of the ladies further along take it and they say it drops their kick counts.

Okay, that's enough rambling from me. I hope everyone is healthy and happy.
