Okay, T-bone, since you are the hb calulation expert...do you count each "wump" (which, since it's so darn fast, I'm not sure I could do) or each "wump-wump"?
Hey ladies Breakfast time here after a night interrupted by weird dreams, my son's "growing pains" and my husband's late night bedtime. I am exhausted.
***WARNING - Crazy night story *** My dreams were totally peculiar - a haunted house and a wizard and I had to throw a tomato at this possessed girl with blonde hair to stop her getting to my friends. Very intense. I think it may have had something to do with my nightly pee. When I got to the bathroom there was a large hawk moth floating upside down in the water so I flushed. As it started to go down its legs started to wriggle but it was sucked down anyway. That made me feel ill and didn't help me sleep afterwards. Then there was a catfight. Then I had to get Frost Tylenol for his sore legs. UGH!
Anyway, I had a happy doppler experience this morning. I lay down, put the doppler at the middle of my belly and the heartbeat was right there - 155. The whole thing took all of 2 seconds. Now my question... is it okay that the heartrate varies? It was 175 early on (by 9 weeks) and then 165 regularly. Today it was 155. Is it okay that it has dropped?
I am still nauseas daily, but not so bad and mainly at night. Also, my nausea seems to be morphing into heartburn - especially if I drink water. Anyone having this problem?
Hoping for a relaxing day over here... the weekend is close.
I'm no expert but the lady that did my fetal heart tone check didn't have a digital read out either. She counted the wumps for 15 seconds and then multiplied by 4. I suppose you could count the wumps for 10 second and multiply by 6 or count the wumps for 6 seconds and multiply by 10. The 15 second count will give a more accurate reading. But yeah, it's dang fast.
I'm wondering if the heart rate change is normal too. I had a heart rate measurement of 182 a week or so ago and then yesterday the rate was 160ish. Why the difference? I mean I know it should vary but that seems like alot.
I asked the same question about the heart rate and they said it is just like ours, if we are in motion our heart rate increases and if we are at rest it decreases so it is perfectly normal.
I hope everyone is doing well and feeling pregnant!!

I'm pretty sure you count each wump.
