Jenn, I think your response was perfect. I have lurked on the Jan EC a few times, but haven't spent much time there because of posts like that. It just seems like there's a lot of ppl complaining about being pregnant, or are so certain that everything is going to be fine that they're already deciding their birth plans. Yes, I am hopeful, and thinking positive, but I have real fears and am too scared to plan that far ahead yet. I'm just trying to make it to my next appt!

Jenn,

I know exactly what you are thinking and what you did was very nice, but the extra punch at the end was worth it!! Women who have never lost have no idea the pain and hurt. I have to admit before I lost I would never have been able to understand all of it, but now I do and as much as my bbs hurt, and I have nausia every day, and I am tired, and my DH is frustrated, and I am bitchy it is all worth it and I would not take back one day of any of it. They just don't understand and until it God forbid happens to them they will never understand what you or any of us feel. You are a good person for being so nice, and maybe when she sees your post and sees your signature she will think twice.

That's why I don't really like to go on the EC boards that much anymore.

Hey everybody!

Kaylee is doing better. She is still vomitting some but I think and hope she is on the mend. We have her on antibiotics after a night's stay at the emergency vet last night.

I've had brief worries that whatever thing Kaylee has could be contagious to me but that's kinda nutso to think that right? Not many diseases jump species?!? Am I right?

So sorry to hear about the scary dreams! I suppose it is natural to have these kinds of feelings. It's better to resolve them in dreams then to supress it or completely lash out or cry on some poor soul in the line at the supermarket or something =)

As for the lady who hates pregnancy post, well, sounds like this particular lady is operating from a completely different set of experiences regarding pregnancy then we all are. Add into that the fact that she isn't considering other's experience while posting and voila you get something that sounds insensitive. I'm sure her intentions were good even if they were upsetting.

Jenn, I think your response was perfectly appropriate. It could remind the poster that not everyone is in the same boat as her. I know from my personal experience I did have moment when I was just so sick, crying while laying on the couch and just really. really feeling tired of being sick. I of course didn't wish my pregnancy away or anything wacka-doo like that. But I did have a brief wish that DH could carry our second child =)

Alrighty, I'm outta here for tonight. Sleepy time for me!

Hey Tara
I have had the opposite experience on the expecting board (perhaps it is the posts I read?). My problem is not that everyone is having a great time and taking to for granted but that so many BAD things happen. There are fears and scares and so many more alarms with a big group. I am one of at least 3 women who have had enlarged nuchal readings, plus a woman on the November board (where I went to see experiences of amnio) is in the process of terminating her pregnancy because the 18 week u/s showed the baby was neurologically badly damaged and would be at least a quadraplegic if it survived. I mean, hell, this is BAD.

So, I hope the EC is more fun in the post 20 week period where we should all be enjoying ourselves more, right??? RIGHT!

Hey Peggy,

The only thing you have to worry about with cats is Toxoplasmosis and those definitely don't sound like the symptoms of toxo.

Tara you are right about the coffee it does it for me to. You can try prune juice or even dried prunes that helps as well.
