So sorry you're suffering, Katie! I had a lot of headaches the first time around- but not really migraines. My mom used to suffer from them and they're some of my scary childhood memories, so I know they can be debilitating. For regular headaches, my OB told me to sip on some coke- the caffeine can help. Don't know if it would help you at all, but it's not harmful to the baby to have a little caffeine..
I'm so sorry you have to got through this. I dealt with major migraines for the first 15 weeks, until I stopped taking progesterone supplements. I have a history of migraines and usually take Axert to get rid of them. At first I was told not to take this during pregnancy but then my doctor said it depended on how often I needed it. What I would do at the first sign of a migraine is get something really cold to drink like iced gatorade, and lay down in a dark, quiet, COLD room with ice packs on my head and neck. There were a few times I had to leave work early because I knew if I didn't do this it would get bad. After 30 minutes of that, if I hadn't fallen asleep or started to feel a little better, then I would take the Axert. You may just have to put your foot down and leave work early, or back out on other obligations to do this. I tried to push it once and ended up so sick that I was in hospital overnight. It had gotten to the point that I was throwing up every 15-20 minutes and couldn't even keep water down which is never good, but especially bad when you are pregnant.
I hope this goes away quickly and that you feel better soon. (((((HUGS)))))
BEAUTIFUL names!!! Wow, I love them. Is that Adah with long A (rAin) or Adah with short a (apple)? I love it with the "h" on the end especially.
I hear you on trying to be detached (as i stocked up my nursery library this weekend), but let's be honest- if something happens (but it won't, right?!?) we are going to be devastated in any case. So let's enjoy this bonding time already! Anyway, that's my new theory.. :)

My family swears by peppermint!
The best way is to get some peppermint oil.

Thanks ladies!
I will try the peppermint oil as soon as I have a chance to make it to the soap/essential oils store.
I did find an accupuncturist (my first time) and went on my lunch hour.
You named the baby?? Like a name name or a "bito, bean, schnoopy" name? Is it shareable or secret? Enquiring minds! :)
Glad you got a little relief from acu.. and hope that headache disappears really soon..
I have my appt on friday- 5 looooooooooooooooooooooooong days away.. I think Sandi is before me, right?

Oh no...real names. We've had a boy name (William--a family name for both of us) picked out for years but we came up with a girl name this weekend.
