Did you make it through the meeting ok Leslie? I hope so

As for me the good news is I actually got to speak with a midwife and it was the one who dealt with me during my miscarriage and follow up so she knows the history and got right on the phone with the perinatologist that the work with. They are getting me in next week with a "viability u/s". I will go Wed after we get back from vacation. I have to do a urine hpt (she calls it insurance bureacracy hoops) and they can send me for an appt. I dont know if they can schedule it for that day or later but its sooner than Aug 3! And I will also meet with the doc to make sure there isnt anything I need to be doing like aspirin or progesterone. I have to wean off my bp meds since they are a catagory c and they will keep an eye on my blood pressure. Right now its low so I may be ok without any meds.

Ann- I hope you sleep better. I have had many nights of nonsleep.

Hi everyone,

I went to see my doctor about this new pregnancy and I had to beg her to do bloodwork. She finally agreed because I am RH- and had to have a RhoGAM shot during my miscarriage to prevent my body from developing antibodies to the baby's blood. She wanted to check to make sure that I hadn't developed those antibodies. I am waiting to hear from the midwife group I want to get in with, if they can't take me I will have to look for a OBGYN. I think it may just be a different system here in Canada but I am a little envious when I read on the boards about people watching their HCG numbers increase - I won't see anyone now for weeks. I just have to calm myself and remember that even if tests can tell me earlier that something is wrong, they can't change the outcome.

Ann - my sleep has been all screwed up too. I seem to be going to bed around 9pm and waking up at 4 or 5am, pretty soon I will completely have my nights and days turned around! I have discovered that I am very productive in the mornings so that is a bonus.

Hope everyone is having a good night!
