Hi, girls. I'm just starting a new chat thread for you this week.
Also, while I have your attention, I hope those of you who are nearing the end of the 1T will sign up for the upcoming virtual shower. I'd love to have you participate :) Details are in the "Chit Chat" Section.
Yeah Amy! That's great news. Congratulations on passing your milestone and graduating to the big leagues.
As for me I actually dry heaved a few times yesterday and am nauseous today so I may be developing symptoms. Which is good since though I have been pregnant 4 other times I just cant let myself get hopeful or attached. Only you guys would know what I mean.
The blood pressure meds are gone since my bp is now low. And I only have 10 days to go until my appt. Yippee!
First of all, Yay Amy(iluvtivo) I am so happy for you. I know we all can't wait to join you in the 2T!
Amy (nmagoun) Congrats on the bp and the m/s! I know what you mean about trying not to get too excited. This experience definitely has its ups and downs.
Well, my in-laws have returned home. We drove them to the airport on Saturday. It was so sad to see them go. We probably won't see them again until next summer. We left DS with my parents and spent the night in D.C. It was really nice. We went to see Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest. It was soooo good! The only this was that it was super long. I had to go to bathroom 4 times while we were there. I know the people behind us just loved me;)
My nausea has almost completely gone away, which makes me nervous. But I still have tingly bbs, I am peeing all the time, and I am still tired. The pain that I used to have only on my right side is now on both sides. If I sneeze or cough it is sharp. Sometimes if I stand up suddenly I feel it too. My next u/s and appt are on Thursday so I can't wait. I am afraid again that it will be bad news. I can't seem to stop the worrying. With each day I get more attached to this baby. It is becoming harder and harder to face the possiblity that he/she might never be born. (Sorry to end on such a low note.)
Any of you having a problem getting motivated to do anything? I am a programmer for a software company and work from home and just trying to do any of my tasks is like pulling teeth. I have been at my desk for 2 hours and have achieved nothing. Thank god I am not in the office because they would fire me for being incompetent. All I am doing is counting the hours until my NT scan on the 25th and reading scary stories and statistics on the internet. I am driving myself nuts.
Also my food aversions\desires are driving me nuts. Last night I defrosted and started cooking pork tenderloin and about halfway through it roasting the smell was making me gag so I had to make spagetti instead. So now we are going to have to have pork tonight and hopefully my stomach will play along.
Well, sister and her family left this morning after a very packed visit. I am so exhausted I think I need to sleep for a week. I got a nice little reminder at 4 am Friday morning (the day after they got here) that I over did it a bit on Thursday. I had a bit of spotting on the TP but it cleared up within 24 hours. It is hard to take it easy when you have guests in town that include an 8-year-old, 6-year-old, and 2.5-year-old. We still ended up having a great time, though. My sister took good care of me (did the dished, cooked...etc) so my house is looking nice than it has in a WHILE! LOL. Luckily my mom and dad are coming on Thursday (7/20) so my house should be sparkling for a while. If only they were here ALL the time, *sigh* oh well.
Amy (Iluvtivo)~Congrats on entering the 2T!!! That is great news! I hope as each day passes you can grow more comfortably in your pregnancy and allow yourself to attach a bit. Though, I know all too well how difficult that can be. Best of luck to you!
Amy (Nmagoun)~This is the only time I can think of the developing nausea is a comfort! I am happy to hear that you are off you BP meds...that is good news! I hope things continue to go well for you. I think we all know how hard it can be to allow ourselves to get attached to our growing little ones. Here's hoping there are calmer times ahead for ALL of us!
Teresa~I hope you appointment on Thursday goes well and you get good news! I will be thinking of you. And speaking of "Pirates" DH and I are going to see it tonight with some friends. I can't wait. I have heard from some others that it is loooong, though, I hope I don't miss too much getting up to pee practically every hour!
Ann~Have a nice night with the TV and bed all to yourself! Try to stay cool. It has been very hot here as well (100 or more the last few days) but it is to be expected for this time of year in TX. That is great news about your dancing baby! I hope your next appointment goes well, too.
Julie~Good luck with the doppler, I hope you can find the h/b! I am sure you will keep us posted. At least you still have that appt. if you need it! Good luck! And I totally sympathize with you on the heat and the short-temperedness...my poor DH got it BAD this weekend, even with all the visitors.
Rebecca~I am also so unmotivated to do ANYthing. I have so much laundry to do (and practically no clean clothes) yet it remains in the hamper and on the floor totally undone. *Sigh* hopefully the motivation bug will bite before my mom and dad get here on Thursday, though I'm sure I can convince mom to "help," LOL.
I guess that is about all for me ladies. It is only noon here but already feels like time for a nap. Oh, and my first OB appointment is tomorrow morning! I certainly hope all goes well and will definately give an update when I return!
Hi everyone! I just got back from work and am finally sitting down to catch up on all the PAL stuff. My computer was messed up all weekend and it was driving me crazy not to be able to read everything! I am still kind of weird with my symptoms-I feel like nausea is coming on and then as soon as I feel it, it is gone. So maybe it is all in my head. My bbs hurt a lot at night and then feel fine when I wake up in the morning...then start to get sore again in the evening. Is that strange? Today I am 6w1d, so I feel like every day that passes is one more step. I just really hope everything will be okay-I wish I could go for an u/s every single day just to know that things are okay. I am terrified of going for my next appt. in three weeks and not seeing anything like the last time. Even though I am so scared about that, overall I feel way more positive about this pregnancy than the last one. I just have a good feeling about it, so I hope my intuition is on target...
Amy (iluvtivo)-Congratulations on being in the 2T!!! That is wonderful...I can't wait till we are all there with you!
Amy (nmagoun)-That is good news about your nausea. Every time I think I am feeling sick, I get so excited! Who would have ever thought we'd WANT to be sick? :)
Teresa-Be sure and let us know how you u/s goes on Thursday!
Ann-Congratulations on your dancing baby!!! That is so amazing! Oh, and my hubby is having dinner with his friends from work tonight so I'm on my own, too....I am going to order takeout and curl up on the couch and watch baseball. I can't wait!
Julie-I hope you can find that hb with your doppler. Good luck with your appt. if you decide to keep it!
Melissa-Good luck at your appt. tomorrow-let us know how it goes!!!
