Julie I am happy you got reassurance over the h/b and the baby. I know how hard this all is and how we tend to see the problems even before we get to it. I wanted to tell you about my bp issues. This is my 4th pregnancy and the 3 before everything was fine with my bp, it started to rise around 38 weeks but that is common and it was not over the top. This pregnancy however my bp has been higher, I was told that at some point I would need bp meds. I was a nerve reck, I started to get scared about everything, PE, BP, I read all kind of horror stories until I realised that I had to let go. My bp is still high but mostly at the doc office (white coat syndrome), I bought myself a BP monitor (around 60$) and it gave me and my doc peace of mind. Maybe you could look into this. Maybe because I know my BP is fine home, I am starting to get better number at the doc which in a way is great because by the 3T it was suppose to get worse. Anyway I am not on any meds and I have reached 31 weeks, my doc thinks we just might make it to the end without needing any. I guess what I am trying to say is don't look at other stories to create your own, be aware and monitor yourself but know that things can go right too. As for fibroids I am don't know much, I think maybe you should check another doctor that would monitor it closely even if it's only for your peace of mind. My doc gives me all the monitoring I want, with what happened she says she wants to be over cautious and she wants me to feel safe. I say all this but at the same time let me tell you that I won't feel safe or completely calm until I hold my baby, until then I manage as best as I can. I hope you can relax a bit and enjoy this pregnancy.
Glad to heat the hearbeat ad kicks are going strong in there! Sorry you had to see that terrible Dr. he sounds like a real quack. I hope that when you go back in 4 weeks you are able to get all of the answers you are looking for. Congrats!
Glad to hear that you got to hear the hb again. It's so comforting, even if he/she was trying to make you play hide and seek for it! I hope all goes smoothly with the fibroids and you have to wait until January to meet this little one! Natasha
I am the fibroid queen. Now, my story is the EXTREME so please remember that.
When I got pg with my DD, unbeknownst to me I had multiple fibroids the largest being the size of a small lemon. I started feeling it when I laid on my stomach to sleep as early as
Yippee for kicks and heartbeat! Boo for sucky doctors. Good thing you have the one you like next time. You can check with him/her about your fibroids then and try to avoid the other doc the rest of your pregnancy.

I think I would have marched right into the dr.'s office and showed him that article and been like, "What do you have to say about this???!!"
