They gave me the same u/s tech as I had when we discovered the miscarriage and she said she tried to switch just for my peace of mind but she couldnt so she made sure I at least had a different room. She was great and took me on a tour of my uterus afte,r of course, seeing the heartbeat! Everything measured right on and all was great.
Then I met with the perinatologist who will be consulting with the midwives and we went over my history. He gave me a script for bloodwork which I got done ( 12 vials of blood, yikes!). He said they will be going over everything to make sure whatever I have that causes low birthweight babies and hypertension can be addressd.
So My appt was 3 hours but went well! I am going to order the doppler this week for a little bit of sanity. We heard the heartbeat at 12w last time but it wasnt there at 16 so I want to be sure to hear it daily!

that is great news - I was just about to shout out to you to see how it went.
12 vials sounds like a lot of blood - also sounds like a good excuse to have the evening on the sofa. You wouldn't want to get light headed :-)
I am so glad your Dr is checking on everything. That must make you feel better.
Anyway sending you big hugs
Rebecca
Whew! What a sigh of relief! I'm so glad the appointment and u/s went well. Now try to take a breather until the doppler arrives!
