I am sorry I was gone for so long, but I had a great visit with my parents! They were here for 11 days and we did so much; I got so spoiled! Anyway, my mom will be coming back down in a few weeks for my cerclage placement (still can't believe that's only a few weeks away...yipes!), but I don't know when I'll see my dad again. Hopefully, when the baby comes...eventhough its still kind of hard for me to think that far ahead.
I had a total wardrobe breakdown (tears and all!!) over the weekend when I tried on all my hand-me-down maternity clothes and I looked like a blimp no matter what. I am so, so very thankful that my mom wouldn't take no for an answer and took me maternity shopping. I now have a fully stocked wardrobe of cute clothes that I don't look like a blimp in, just cute and a little pg...heehee!!
I think everyday that goes by it gets a little easier to feel good about this pregnancy, but I'm still nervous as heck. I keep thinking I'll feel better after the cerclage...but then who knows. I don't think I'll really feel better until I have this baby in my arms and home, safe and sound. *sigh* I just keep trying to focus on the positive and keep meditating on a LONG and CLOSED cervix. :)
I supposed that is all for me, for now. I have sooo much to catch up on, but I am sooo tired. I hope to be up and posting more by the end of the week...but we'll see. Motivation to do ANYthing has been a big problem. ;)
It's been so quite here in the 1T lately. Where is everybody? I decided not to go to D.C. on Thursday. It was so hot today that I couldn't stand it and I only went out and got in the car. I just don't think I could stand walking around in the heat and worrying about it the whole time. I just have this gut feeling that I shouldn't go so I'm going to listen to my gut. That seems to be all I do these days anyway (gurgle gurgle-LOL):)
Melissa, I'm glad that you had a nice visit with your family. Aren't moms great? My mom bought me a lot of maternity clothes when I had DS, but I had him in the summer so I may need to buy a few things. I actually went to Target and bought a shirt and some pants today, but the pants need to go back because they are not the right color.
Ann-I read your post up in seeking advice. I've had a lot of pain that my doctor says is stretching so that is probably what it is. I did have some twinges when I was pg with DS but not until later. I can't remember when I first felt him move, but it wasn't this early and the feeling was really different. Hard to describe. My clothes are getting much tighter too. I've given up on my shorts. My capris are a little looser, but I think I'll be in the maternity pants before much longer. I hate to wear the shirts just yet though because they can look so obvious and I'm not THAT big yet. I can't wait until I'm out of this stage and into the stage where I really look pg.
Teresa I think we are in that stage where people dont know if you've let yourself go or you are early pregnancy. I look twice as great with a slightly bulging belly and black and purple bruises and track marks on my thighs. Very attractive. My shorts supply have been dwindling so I may have to root through the maternity bag soon.
Melissa, Ann, Leslie and me: Happy eleven wks to us! I love Thursdays because that is the day that the wks change.
Ann-I am so jealous that you have an appt tomorrow. I don't have mine until next Thursday. It is driving me crazy!
Amy-Yup, that is the stage I'm in. I just look fat not pg! I think listening to your doppler is a great reward for doing your shots.
I have some new that I don't think I've posted here before. My sister is also pg. She is two weeks behind me. She is ten years older and has had several m/c and was not TTC so this was totally unexpected. She is of course very nervous, but since she has had her u/s I think she feels a lot better about things. It is so wonderful talking things over with her. I hope everyting turns out well for both of us. It would be so cool to have our kids so close in age. Please send P&PT her way.
I am so excited... drumroll please... I enter the 2T today :) YEAH!!! But of course I will be checking in on you guys, I need to know how you lovely ladies are doing :)
Ann~ I have had pains, my Dr said that they are just ligaments and some scar tissue moving and streching.
Ann, Leslie and Theresa...here's to 11 weeks tomorrow!! Congrats to us...not too much longer until we hit the 2T!!
Alisha...congrats on enetering the 2T!! We are right behind you!
Theresa: that is GREAT news about your sister...I will keep you both in my thoughts!
I am having some pains too, I think its mostly ligaments stretching. Also, this maybe be TMI, but I have been having the worst gas, where its getting painful. I doesn't seem to matter what I eat and it lasts pretty much all day. I think I'd take my nausea back, but I know, I better watch what I "wish" for, LOL. I am still having some heartburn, too. I have a funny feeling the heartburn is going to be with me for the duration...just call it a gut instinct!
Hey all cant post too long I have my first midwife appt this morning. Won't be too exciting just going over bloodwork ect. Of course I can show her where to find the heartbeat, hehe :)
Good luck to everyone who has an appt today and happy Thursday!
