Ann, I have a doppler It keeps me saner. I love it!
The ttcam board makes me sad too when it doesnt work out. And on the news in Pittsburgh was a lady who had 5 kids and tried to set them on fire. Now that's not fair!
My sister had bad m/s with her last pregnancy and she took 1/2 a Unisom and a B6 at night so that she could sleep w/o being woken up my the nausea. My midwife also recommended that for m/s. I haven't really had it this time though. A little but nothing like w/ my other 2 pregnancies. I don't know what to make of it. W/ the last preg. I was so darn sick and I still m/c. Of course, every pregnancy is different, right? Ok, I am worried. I sat here reading messages on the boards last night and just cried b/c I am so freaked out. DH said to get off the internet but I can't help myself. I was just reading someone else who got an HCG level of 40 and said she was sure it was over. I got a 46, but mine doubled to 119 in 48 hours so I started feeling better but now I'm not again. I asked the nurse if she would order another HCG test for me but she wouldn't. She said to wait 3 weeks until my u/s. Argh. I think I'm going crazy here!!!
Jai-I'm sorry you are suffering so much from m/s. Have you tried the sea bands. They didn't help me too much, but I know some people swear by them. Hope the unisom does the trick.
Trixylovelace-I'm sorry you're having a hard time right now. I don't know a lot about HCG numbers, but I think the doubling is a good sign. I'm addicted to the boards too, so I know what you mean. Sometimes I feel so powerless that reading and posting is the only thing I can do. We are here for you. Faith over fear.
Ann-Glad your trip went well. Sorry you have to wait 5 wks, but you're one down already right? Only four more to go. I hope you enjoyed using your doppler tonight!
Melissa-Glad you're feeling better.
Amy-Sorry you're having a hard week with no appts for reasurrance. It is soooooooo hard to wait.
Natasha-Congrats on the 2T.
Please send lots of p and pt my way tomorrow. I am going for my 12 wk appt. and I am nervous about not hearing the hb. TIA!
Jai try Ginger Altoids I know I have seen them at Target, I dont know where else sells them. The unisom should work well too. I hope you feel better soon.
Ann How did the doppler go?
Trixylovelace(what's your given name? sorry) I completely understand how you feel. Sometimes it just comes up this feeling of doom and worry. At that point I try to push it out of my head and concentrate on anything else.
Well, only about 5 hrs until my appt. (but I'm not counting or anything!)
Ann-I'm sorry you're hating your doppler. I've decided to hold off on getting one for a while if at all. DH told me to do what I wanted, but I got scared about it again myself for the very reason you described. I might think about it again in a month or so. It sounds like there are other ladies on the board who also had trouble in the beginning but ending of loving it. I hear you on the tired thing. I don't know what I'm going to do when I go back to work. Hopefully what they say is true and the 2T is better, although I don't remember any big change when I was pg with DS.
Amy-Thanks for the good wishes. Now if I can just keep myself busy until this afternoon!
Today is just the regular 12 wk appt. No u/s, but they will do a hb check. I also need to ask about some blood screening. My sis just got diagnosed with two genetic blood disorders and I don't know if that is something that I need to worry about or not. Thanks for asking,

Ok enough venting- that's for whiney Wed!
What happened to all our new posters?
I can't handle stories like that - child and animal abuse - just makes my blood boil.

I hear everyone on being addicted to the boards.
