so we went for our first sonogram last night...it went well but I didn't get to see the heartbeat...my DH and the Dr. seemed to have seen it...it was very faint..he said not to worry as I was just stratign my 6th week so most likely next week I will see it...is that true? but the baby was measuring right where it should be - so that's good!
he did mention my fibroid wa right next to the sac but it is on teh opposite side from where it attaches so he was happy about that but of course i still worry...he said it si a small one about a half inch so not to worry. i also ahve cyst on my right ovary (why i had all that pain) btu he said that is the follicle that released the egg and without that i woudln't eb pregnant. i hope it doen't cause problems.
he also cut my dosage on the estrogen so I am now taking one in the morning and one at night of the estrogen and progesterone...hopefully soon I will be off everything btu I hope when they do take em off I do not have any problems. I also get to go back to my regularly ob/gyn in 2 weeks eyah I miss him and like him better. this guy can be such a jerk sometimes! he didn't even congratulate me last night!
its weird I thought last night once I got the sonogram I would feel closer to this baby and be more excited but I wasn't...what is wrong with me..I want this baby more then anything but I can't seem to get excited about it!??!?!
well I guess that is all for now...hopefully next week I will see and hear the heartbeat and maybe that will bring me closer...thanks for listening
Marissa

Marissa,
Congratulations on seeing the sac and it measuring correctly!!! That is great news!!! Yes it is normal to not see the heart beat at 6 weeks, sometimes you do not see it till closer to 7 weeks.
Marissa,
I am glad to hear that your appointment went well.
Marissa...
I'm glad to hear your u/s went well. I also didn't see a heartbeat until I was about 7 weeks along. Try not to worry about not seeing it today. The cyst that your doctor talked about is normal everyone has it. If I understood my doctor correctly, it's how your baby will get all the its nutrients until the placenta takes over. Try not to worry about it. Also, Congrats!!!
