Hi all,
I know it's been a while since you all heard from me. I've been trying to stay off the internet & stop scaring myself. Plus I've had my head in the toilet.
Anyway, I went in for a follow up u/s today. The good news is, baby is growing, HR was 176. Yay for baby hanging in there:) Bad news is, the subchorionic hemmorage (which as it turns out is a fancy term for placental abruption) got bigger. Despite all my efforts to take it easy. The Dr. told me to be careful but that it wouldn't help if I just sat around and did nothing either. He said that it will hopefully absorb and in most cases does but the placenta might also completely seperate and that would be the end. I don't want to lose a healthy baby to this. I held it together in the office but went out to my car and bawled. How did baby making get to be so hard & why is this happening? I'm trying to focus on the positive. We're going to California on vacation this Monday. We wanted to take our DD to Disneyland. Dr. said ok, would that be dumb though? Thanks ladies,
Aimee

Aimee,

I think that going to disney land will be fine as long as you do not go on any rides. I am sorry that your ultra sound was not that peaceful, but it sounds like you have a very strong little baby in there.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Jenn

Aimee,

I'm glad that there is good news and hope that the bad news will just take care of itself and be ok.

Hi Aimee -
I'm so sorry for this stress - I've been there and really know how you are feeling.
I wanted to advise that you don't fly anytime soon with this condition. I did, and it was NOT a good idea.
If you can, I would recommend staying home and still taking it easy. I wish I had.

Hugs!!
Rachel

Aimee, I know it's scary but stay positive! I'm pretty sure this is the same thing I had at the begining of this pregnancy (how soon we forget!) and I'm 33wks + and all is fine. So there are happy outcomes! Sending lots of P&PTs to you!

Thanks for the positive thoughts. I've decided not to go to Disneyland this year. The thought of just slowly walking around, not doing anything makes me want to just postpone to another year. Unless terrorists decide otherwise, it will still be there next year! My Dr. didn't seem concerned with me flying at all. He said to go on vacation and try to enjoy myself because even if I stayed home and laid in bed and didn't lift a finger, it might not help. I'm taking it easy and making my DH run after my toddler and do all the lifting. I think he's getting sick of my asking him for help though. Thanks again,
Aimee
