Since I lost my twins at 23 weeks to incompatent cervix, I have to get a cerclage with this pregnancy (stitch in my cervix). They scheduled it for tomorrow! I am sooo nervous. I can't eat after midnight and the surgery isn't until 1pm! I'm diabetic so I know I won't make it that long before my blood sugar drops, plus when I am hungry the baby doesn't like it and that is when m/s kicks in. So my doctor told me to come as soon as I feel sick and they can hook me up to an IV and that maybe they can even get me in to the surgery earlier. I will be getting a spinal, but nothing to knock me out, so that makes me a bit nervous. I just don't want to feel a single thing. I just pray it all goes well. Thanks for reading!
Wendy
PS... I never know when the first trimester ends??? I'm over 13 weeks. :)

Hi Wendy!
I just wanted to say good luck on your cerclage placement tomorrow. I have IC too, diagnoses after we lost our baby boy at 18 weeks in February this year. I got my cerclage placed a few weeks ago; I was 14w6d at the time. I was knocked out for it and before I knew it I was awake and back in my room. I was a nervous wreck before hand though...I feel for you. I hope your surgery goes just as well as mine did.
I will be thinking about you...please update us when you can!
PS-I believe, or so I've been told, that the 2nd trimester starts at 13w3d...hopefully you will join us in the 2T soon! :)
Happily Married to Victor since 3/22/03, expecting a little one 2/22/06, missing our angel Austin 2/16/06

Wendy,
I wanted to send you prayers and positive thoughts for tomorrow.
Hoping for a healthy
I just wanted to wish you the best for your surgery, and I am sending you all positive vibes for you and your little bean. I too have a cerclage due to an Inc. cervix found at 23 weeks - just a fluke (the great doc was looking for polyps in cervical canal that were seen earlier on external exam)..Mine was emergency surgery, and very scary..but now I am 30 weeks and doing great!!!!!
I am sure you will do great too.
Congratulations on your pregnancy and I said I was in 2nd trimester at 14 weeks - soon!!!!!
Take care,
Lara
Wendy,
Good luck!
