I had my surgery on Monday. The day was soooo long cause we had to get there at 8 for post op and the surgery wasn't until 1. We got to the surgery waiting area around 9:30 and by 10:30 I felt so icky and DH talked to the nurse and they got me rested and on an IV of the sugar water. I got into surgery at 1. I didn't do too well with the spinal and got sick, but they said it was probably from not eating plus being pregnant. They gave me something in my IV to stop the sickness and it worked like a charm. I was a nervous wreck because they weren't going to put me under and I was so scared I would feel something. It went great though. I didn't feel a thing, just some light pressure like someone touching me. When it was done I had a huge sense of relief. They did a quick ultrasound and baby looked great and did fine with the surgery too. The rest of the day took a while because the spinal took a lot longer to wear off. I'm so happy it is over, I feel a bit more confident that I may have a baby in 6 months! The past two days I have been lounging around and taking it easy. The spotting stopped Monday night and I'm still having cramping, but nothing terrible. Thanks for all of your well wishes.
Wendy

I am so glad to hear that all went well...I was starting to worry about you! Now, just take it easy! It was such a relief for me to have it placed and I am feeling more confident too, that I'll actually have a baby in 5 months!
Take care and good luck with the rest of the recovery process....sounds like you are doing great!
