Hello... anyone in there??

Hi girls,
I'm about 5 and a half weeks today and have a few weak symptoms sometimes, no symptoms at all most of the time. No spotting or cramping tho, so I'm assuming I'm still pg.
My last HCG was done over a week ago and the numbers were low but doubling (my last number was 200). I don't get any more betas or ultrasound until mid-October, and I'll be 8 weeks. Such a long time to sit here in limbo, wondering if I'm hosting a baby or just a gestational sack again (I've had 2 blighted ovums before).
What a wierd time this is!!! Wondering if anyone's in this limbo place with me?

Emily,
I completely understand how you feel about limbo.
Welcome Emily!!
I'm not hiding!!! LOL!!! I introduced myself to the board in the intros and everything!!! :D I just haven't posted much yet since the betas because, well, nothing has happened!!
Let me check out the chat. I can't see more than 1 message at a time so it always takes me a while to get thru them!

I can totally relate with you. I was having the same feelings this morning. I am also about 5 weeks and 5days. I say almost because I am not sure what day I ovulated exactly. As far as betas go I would definitely push or beg for a beta test every week until your appointment. It's justa blood test they should totally be willing to accomadate you? At least I think they would knowing your history. Anyway I look forward to getting to know you over these next wonderful 8 months. (that's me being optimistic) I am hoping to get to the chat thread but I unfortunately don't work from a computer so I can only check in when I am home. Good luck with the Dr. and be sure to push for those tests. Keep us posted!
Lots of SBV's

I also had a blighted ovum back in March.
Emily,
I know what you are feeling like because I was just there and even today I was thinking that same exact thing. My symptoms did not really start till around 6.5 weeks and even now are not that bad! I feel great sometimes and I worry. If have another blood test would ease your mind then call your doctors office and ask for one. You know I used to be so scared to call my doctors office, but they told me that they are there for me. So I call now and they always ease my mind!
Hi Emily,
I totally relate to that limbo feeling. I have had two missed miscarriages - one stopped growing at 8 weeks and the other at 8.5 weeks. I had an u/s at 7 weeks (I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow) and no matter what I won't be able to feel like everything is okay until I see or hear the h/b beyond that time. Up until last week I was convinced I had a blighted ovum b/c at what I thought was 6 weeks I measured 5 weeks via u/s (must of o'd late). It sounds like getting another HCG reading will be your only peace of mind at this point. So demand it for your emotional well-being!!! Hang in there Emily and keep posting so hopefully we can help you through this stressful time.

Emily, I think I know just how you feel. My first pregnancy was a blighted ovum, so when I got pregnant this time around I couldn't believe it was really true until I saw that heartbeat. I didn't have symptoms early on either, so that made me even more on edge. I'm sorry you have to wait a few more weeks before you get any further testing and I know the wait seems like forever.
Oh, and my sister miscarried with her first two pregnancies. She knows that the second time it was a blighted ovum but doesn't know what happened the first time because she didn't have any testing or anything. She went on to have four successful pregnancies after that. I just thought I would share her story with you in the hopes of making you feel a little better!
I'll be looking forward to hearing your update in October telling us about your very healthy bean :)

Thanks everyone for your replies and stories! I know my doc's office would give me another round of betas, but I also know that doubling numbers would make me feel at ease for about 2 seconds and then I'd be wondering if the numbers quit doubling after that. :D I had a great U/S at 6 weeks 2 pregnancies ago, doc said I was "in the clear", and then 2 weeks later found out the little bean died shortly after that U/S, so I'm always wondering now if this is going to happen after every "good news" appt I have.
So I will sit tight and watch for spotting and cramping, while I wait for October to come. I just wish I had a little window in my uterus so I could check on progress. ;D
