new here w/ an HCG ?

Hi ladies,
Here is my story. My name is amie, and I have been married for 3 years. I have had two mc's at 11wks. The 1st one was in june '02, and the second in sept '05. I also just had an ectopic pregnancy in april. I am now 6 wks pregnant. I had a positive HPT, and Beta Hcg on 17 or 18 dpo. My progesterone was 30, but the doctor put me on 200mg of progesterone 2 times a day, just to be safe. My Hcg levels have been great, up until my last one on thursday. Hcg level #1 was 546, #2 was 1560, #3 was 3388, #4 was 6324, and #5 was 8714. I have read that the higher the HCG levels get , the longer they take to double. But is it normal at 6 wks for the #'s to slow down , and take longer to double? I am still scared to death! And some of my PG symptoms have lessened. I have an ultrasound scheduled for monday. I am just so scared that they won't find a heartbeat! Anyone out there w/ similar experiences, that's pregnancies are still continuing? I need some encouragement. This weekend is going to seem like eternity.
Thanks in advance for any replies, I look forward to hopefully staying to get to know you ladies better!

Amie,
Welcome!!
I think your HCGs look really good....and yes, they do slow down as you get farther along.
I used these websites for HCG info

I have also had an ectopic (2) and its very hard.

Oh sweetie....
First of, I'm very sorry to hear about your losses. Congrats on your new pregnancy. I know this part of pregnancy can be very scary and we're all here for you sending you a ton of hugs and calming vibes. I don't know a ton about HCG's, but I do know that your numbers look great and I also know that your numbers do slow down as you progress through your pregnancy.
I also wanted to let you know that the ladies here on this board are wonderful. We're here for you in thick and thin, so please feel free to ask us anything.
I'm sending you a ton of good luck vibes for Monday.
Crystal
Sorry for your losses and we understand your fear.
Amie,
Welcome to the board and congratulations on the BFP!! I am sending you very strong sticky baby vibes. The women on this board are great becuase we all know how very scarey it is to go through a pregancy with after a loss.
I think that your HCG numbers look great and yes it is very normal for HCG to start and slow down around this time in your pregnancy.
Please keep us updated on your process.
Hugs,
Jenn
