Hi, Ladies! I'm sorry I haven't been around for a while. We've had yet another crazy week. My grandpa (86) fell down the stairs about a week ago. He didn't break anything, but he was in a lot of pain. So, he couldn't move around at the hospital. He ended up getting pneumonia, and they discovered a bleeding stress ulcer. Anyway, we almost lost him on Saturday. Everyone that was there were able to say goodbye and we honestly didn't expect him to make it through the night. Well, over the past couple of days, he has stabilized. They are going to be able to do something about his back hurting now and possibly get him back home. I don't know if I want him to get better or if he should get worse and die so he can be with Grandma again. He really misses her.

Anyway, there has been quite a bit of stress and tears regarding that. I felt sick again this morning for the first time in a week. I was a little worried, but have been reassured now ;).

Meljoy, I'm so sorry you are that sick. I can't even imagine throwing up 2x a day. I hope that you have a good vacation and don't have to spend too much time over the toilet.

Mel, I'm sorry your husband just isn't clueing in. I hope you can find the support you need with your family. Please stick around and let us help you where we can.

Vananda, I'm so glad you had a good u/s. YAY!

Nicole, good luck at the NT scan. I didn't even know that they did those kind of things LOL. I'm a little bit in the dark about being pg (even though I do have a DD). I know WAY too much about getting pg though.

My goodness! I can't remember anything else. Anyone else having that problem? I did want to ask you ladies a question. My sister just found out today that she is "barely pg". He LMP was sept 21. I'm worried about her being only "barely" when it was a blood test. Any thoughts? I tried not to tell her the worst case senario. Like I said, I know WAY too much about getting pg.

Thanks ladies!
Emily

Katie - apologies for my bad description of Kiwifruit but I didn't really expect you to have them over there. Kiwi is slang for a person who comes from NZ and kiwifruit are one of our key export products from lil ole NZ!! No laughing at my poor explanations!

Kari - lucky you have to work to put on weight when some of us are struggling to keep it within an acceptable level. Oh to have to drink chocolate milkshakes everyday. Thanks for dropping by.

Emily - sorry to hear about your Grandad. I'm a 'grand orphan" (no grandparents left) but I know when my Grandad died it was really hard for my Grandma and I was almost relieved when she passed away and could be with Grandad again. Sending you big hugs. In terms of your sister, the hcg levels over 48 hours should give you a good indication of how she's going.

Nicole, I've scheduled my NT scan for next thursday and I will decide from there whether I will go on for more testing. Good luck for your tests on Friday will be waiting the outcome with fingers crossed.

Meljoy - have a safe trip away and hope the celebration when you share your news is lots of fun with family. Hopefully the ms will start to ease soon.

Well, I guess all you 1T sistahs will be signing off soon (it's only 2.30pm here). I expect a few more postings today to give me something to read tonight sitting at home bored on my own. Take care

What the hell are Tangerine Altoids?? I've never heard of them. I'm assuming it's something that is tangerine flavoured??

Good morning and Happy Wednesday to all you lovely 1T-ers! I wanted to drop by and check on you girls.

Vandana - I'm so happy that you had such a great appointment. Keep that cloud 9 thing going!

Meljoy - I can't wait to see the pictures of the Roman Bath nursery! I hope you have a wonderful trip and that the m/s doesn't cause you problems. I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.

Dina - As the other girls said...we miss you and are wondering where you are. I hope you are doing ok. Please post soon!

Nicole - Sounds like you had a blast this weekend. It was so nice of you to take the kids to Disney and all that. Too bad you couldn't share in all of the fun. But just think...one of these days you will be going back with your own little one to experience it all through their eyes. Good luck on your NT Scan on Friday.

Melissa - I'm so very sorry that your husband is being a jerk! We preggos can come out there and explain to him how he should be treating you. I do hope that moving in with your family and having that love and support will be helpful for you. You take care of you and your DS and your baby! Those are the importnant things. Please don't stay away just because you don't feel like a ray of sunshine. We are here to help and if nothing else will listen and sympothize.

Julie - It is nice to be getting to know you. I think that it is neat that you are moving to Australia. I would love to get to go there. It is a really long flight from here but I'm up for it (well...a few years after baby gets here). When we were on our honeymoon we met some people from Australia and they were so nice and so fun so it made me want to visit even more.

Emily - I hope your grandpa is doing ok. I totally understand your mixed feelings on his situation. But I will say my prayers for "the best thing" to happen. I hope your sister and her baby are doing ok too. Please let us know what happens with her numbers. I'll keep my fingers crossed. *hugs to you and your family*

Katie and Julie - you guys are cracking me up with the kiwi and tangerine altoids!

I am counting down until you guys came come play in 2T. I miss ya'll!

Gina

ok, I was told to hop down here and join chat. so, here I am! I have been lurking, but have fuzzy brain about everyone situation.

mel - please don't leave us. a pp or two was right, this is the best time to stay close, so we can support you in your time of great need. i hope things work out for you. i too think moving in with your parents is a very good idea. you deserve all the happiness in the world! and stressing does not help the pg at all, so please try to relax. i know, easier said then done, but please try. i know you do not know me, but know that i care.

ok, back to work...
