When does the 1st Timester end?

My midwife said after 12 full weeks. Ok so does that mean because I am in my 12th week right now that on Tuesday when I am 12 weeks or does it mean when I'm 13 weeks? Someone else said in a post at June EC that it is 14 weeks. I'm really hoping that it is 12 weeks! I got that from this site. http://due.datecalculator.com/ Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA! Most people have told me 12 weeks, but I know that if you divide 40 weeks by 3 it is 13.3 weeks. But at 12 weeks something changes right?

I haven't told you yet how good it is to see you over here :D Glad everything is still looking good.
I think most ladies around here consider 13 weeks as 2T, so once you hit that, you're there. I think the "big" thing that happens at 12 weeks is that the risk of miscarriage goes down even more, making it safer to tell people about the pregnancy.

If you divide the 40 weeks of pregnancy into 3 parts, the 1T ends at 13w3d, the 2T ends at 26w6d, and we all know when the 3T ends ;-)
I moved down to the 2T at on the 4th day of my 13th week.
Oh the question of ages!! They say your chances of miscarriage drop at 12weeks and so some women consider being in the 2T at 12 weeks, but the correct answer is 13W3D, but I said 13 Weeks.
You are there if you want to be!!
