Hey there,
What you're describing feeling sounds exactly like how I feel right now - DEFINITELY morning sickness! It's that hungover, even thinking about food makes me want to barf kind of feeling. Don't be surprised to throw up too. It's also totally normal to feel completely exhausted through the first trimester. Think about it, your body is working sooo hard to support that little baby, get the placenta and your uterus ready to go, etc. Not to mention there are huge volumes of hormones and chemicals running through your body that were never there before because of the pregnancy.
So don't worry at all about how you're feeling - it sounds normal!
Different doctors have different philosophies on hair dyes. Some docs think enough chemicals seep into your skin that it may be dangerous, others say there's no way enough can seep in to be dangerous. I would call your RE and ask him. My doc says highlights/lowlights with foils are okay, but full head hair dye is not. But like I said, all docs say something different.
And I also think its completely normal to be a little depressed and blue after a bfp, no matter how long you've been trying. Kind of like the "Oh my, what have I gotten myself into" kind of shock. Getting pg is a HUGE life change, even before the baby shows up. You have to change your lifestyle, and change your attitude and outlook on so many things, and major changes are known to cause bouts of depression and blue feelings. Then add to it the fear of loss, and the constant anxiety that goes along with being a PAL and you've got one crazy, hysterical, sad, depressed woman! So yes, yes and yes - everything you are feeling sounds totally normal!
We are here for you, anytime you are sad, depressed, anxious, happy, ecstatic, or any other emotion, just post! Chances are someone here has been through something similar, or can empathise just the same.
Hugs,
Amanda
Hi Amy!
I'm also a hairstylist and they don't have any proof that coloring your hair is harmful to the baby so it's pretty much a personal choice. You could try just doing a heavy lowlight with color instead of putting the color directly on your scalp. That will help to camoflauge any gray.
I hope you don't get as sick as I am because it's not fun at all. Take care and it's normal to be scared. I'll be scared the whole 9 months!
