Oh Kathy, I'm so glad he's finally in a good place with this :-) Thanks for sharing!

All is well with me, no complaints. Good doc apt, work's going okay and I have a seminar this afternoon. Boring but it won't exactly challenge my brain so I don't mind :-)

How is everyone else?

Maureen - I am thinking about you - I hope all is well! I'm sure it is :-)

Hey ladies,
A question for all of you...this is along the same lines of what AE asked above in the advice section. I turned down all non-essential testing from my doc - i.e. the quad screen, etc. My reasoning was i know myself and I know I would worry incessently about the results, even if they were nothing to worry about. Plus, if there is something wrong I know there is no way we would ever choose to end the pg, no matter what was wrong - it's just how I feel about it.
Are there any compelling reasons I should do the quad screening, knowing all this? My doc said I can change my mind anytime up to my next apt, and now I'm worrying that there is some really good reason that I'm overlooking as to why to get the screen. My doc also said that given my age (25) and that there's no real history of problems in DH or my families (except a third cousin on DH's side with moderate mental retardation) that he isn't too concerned if I don't get the quad screen. That makes me feel better about not getting it.
Any thoughts or opinions? I would appreciate it even if its not what I necessarily want to hear - I want to make sure I'm totally informed before finalizing my decision.
Thanks!

Amanda--I think given your age, and having no significant family history, you should be okay.

I am worried about the tests, too....
