Hi - I posted last week about being pg with twins and having spotting. I finally got an u/s at the dr.'s office. The bad news is that Baby A did not have a hb. Baby B has a nice strong one and is growing on schedule. The dr. said to expect Baby A to reabsorb over time. While we will always mourn for what happened to Baby A, we are happy that Baby B is still going strong.

I still am having spotting on and off which the dr. thinks is caused by my subchorionic hematoma. She expects that will resolve on its own, too.

So I'm just hoping that everything works out with this pg. I go back on the 25th.

I'm so sorry that you lost one of your twins. I want to send strong growing vibes for Baby B. I'm glad there is at least half good news for you. Good luck and keep us posted on how things are going.

Susan,

I am so sorry to hear about the bleeding and loss of your twin. I myself also lost a twin during this pregnancy very early on. It was hard because I was sad, but I was also happy that my other baby was a strong fighter. I always think of my baby I lost as Matthew’s Guardian Angel!

Hi Jenn -

Thanks for your kind words. I'm so sorry that you lost a twin, too. What I'm wondering is how long it took to reabsorb and whether your dr. felt it necessary to monitor it by ultrasound. My twin A was 7w5d when its heart stopped. Also does having a vanishing twin affect the NT test in any way? Is there lingerig Hcg from it that could skew the results?

TIA,
Susan
