Well, I got my beta results today and dr says they look good.

10/11 dpo: hcg 54, progesterone 22.9
14/15 dpo: hcg 331, progesterone 30.2

So, we've passed one milestone and hopefully will pass many many more with flying colors over the next 9 months. Dr is scheduling an u/s in about 3 weeks. By then I'll be a little over 7 weeks, so if all is good, we should see a nice strong heartbeat. I sure hope we do!

Have a great week everyone!

Bentley - Your little bean is healthy and active, I see :) Thats wonderful! You're only 2 weeks from that coveted 2T mark ;)

Seyles - Those numbers are lookin good! Wow, 3 weeks seems like forever at this point, right?

Myself, I'm still hanging in there. I'm currently 9 weeks and a few days, so I'm in my 10th week, right? I'm all about bumping myself up to that next number asap! Haha. I still can't get up the guts to go to the doctor. I know, its pretty stupid on my part. I'm taking my prenatals and DHA though and sticking to a healthy diet. I guess I'm just really nervous about going and finding out something is wrong. I'm still paying the bills from my last pregnancy that ended in m/c at 12 weeks (7 months ago) and I guess I don't want new bills if the same thing is going to happen. Yeah, I've been a "cup half empty" kind of gal lately.
This pregnancy is not at a financially good time for my husband and I. He is frantically trying to see if he can get a new job soon. On that note, can we switch insurance in the middle of a pregnancy? I'm going to need about 2 months off of work when I have the baby and since I'm an independant contractor, I don't get maternity pay. We can't make it for 2 months on his income alone. Right now, we can barely afford to pay all our bills let alone save money. And who knows if something goes wrong in the pregnancy and I need to be put on bedrest or something? So I'm currently a mess. I'm really trying to stay positive but its really hard for me right now. I've actually decided (just now, heehee!) that I will make my doctors appointment for 2 weeks from now. Hold me to it, ladies!

Faith,
I completely understand about not going to the dr. I kind of wonder, what is the point in going so early because they can't do anything for the baby whether the pregnancy is viable or not. I mean besides checking for a UTI and telling me to take pre-natals they didn't do too much at my first appt with my first pregnancy. So why take the time and spend the money? for me, it was a relief to get my beta's back. But now I'm starting to worry about my u/s. I'm not sure I even want it done. I'm starting to think that if I'm not having any bad symptoms, maybe I should wait. Ughh...I wish I was more carefree with this pregnancy and could just enjoy it!

I'm sorry you have so much going on right now and are worried about finances. I'm sure everything will work out. If everyone waited to have a baby until they could afford it, noone would have children. So, you'll find a way. Somehow we always make it work!

Don't forget to schedule your dr's appt! :)

Ok gals, my appointment is made! It will be Tuesday, Jan 30th at 11 am. I'll be 11.5 weeks at that point, so I'm hopeful that I'll hear a heartbeat. I'm a little worried though because my first m/c, I had my appointment at 10.5 weeks, they couldn't get a heartbeat, so they had me come back the next week at 11.5 weeks - no heartbeat, found out through u/s that the baby didn't make it and I miscarried a few days later. But you know what, I've decided to just face this head on and pray for the best. I'm going to be completely petrified that day though.

Just found out a few days ago that my younger sister is pregnant too. And she's only 3.5 weeks behind me. We're excited to be pregnant together and I can only pray that her pregnancy is healthy and she doesn't have to go through what the rest of us have. She's a total drama queen and had some cramping, nausea and dizziness yesterday (she's 6 weeks) and went to the ER and said her pain level was a 9 (totally lying). I told her "Welcome to pregnancy, that is what it feels like". She got an u/s and everything was fine, of course. When she goes into labor I'm leaving the country. Lol. Apart from her being a major drama queen, she is totally petrified of needles, so who knows if she'll even be able to get an epidural. All jokes aside, I'm pretty excited about her pregnancy. I hope you ladies are having a great week!
