Just a quick update -- I had my US today and all is well. Baby's HR was 174. We can now see a head, arms and legs! Yay!

I have been off the board dealing with major m/s. I have not been able to eat or drink anything for several days. I spent today at the hospital getting IV fluids and phenergan (which is NOT helping). It seems like there is NOTHING I can do to make the nausea go awaY!! I am so sick. Boo.

Thats great that the baby is doing so well. That severe m/s is a good sign. But it sucks! I'm so sorry you're having such a tough time of it. I hope it gets better for you. (((HUG)))

Nicole are you taking the prenatal pills? If so when are you taking them?

I had very severe ms with Courtney and they took me off the prenatals, it helped, not completely but enough!! For this pg I ahve been sticking with just a daily multivitamin and my ms has been mild. I dont know why they call it ms though, when I have it it doesnt care if it is morning or night!! LOL

We are both around the same time right? I am 9 weeks today. Email me if you want, mariasemail@comcast.net...

I'm sorry I know exactly how that feels. I had severe m/s too. I would just tell myself (while kneeling over the toilet!!) that at least the baby is fine. That was the only thing that got me through it. I think I was close to 17w when I was done and I knew it was going to be that long so I would just cry. But pretty soon you'll be past that I promise. It's so worth it to know you're baby is doing good in there. I used to take half of a sleep aid now I can't remember what it was! Prego brain. It used to help especially if I took it before I ate. Have you asked your ob about that? Maybe that would be ok for you to take. I can't believe I don't remember the name of the pill!!! If I do I will come back and post it if noone else has. :) I hope you feel better soon!

Hi Mika

Your results are beautiful - you must be growing a strong, healthy baby in there.

But your MS sounds absolutely awful.

You asked me re ginger tablets and B6. I went to the health food store looking for ginger tablets and they were there, but they were for travel sickness and said nothing about pregnancy on the packet. Although I'm sure they were fine, I chose another option. The B6 tablets that were for sale were also in a much lower dose than the doctor recommended to me (100-200mg per day). But I am not doctor so check with yours re how much, whether you should take, etc.

I found a specific morning sickness formula that contained both B6 and ginger root powder, because it was designed for the purpose I felt more comfortable taking that. I have been doing so for a couple of days and MS has improved, although still is there a little. Mine is nowhere near as bad as yours, although I really hope this would help you, I doubt it would hurt!
