Appt Update

I had my first OB appointment on Friday. I meet with the midwife. It was the first time I had ever had an appointment with a midwife and I liked her. She was very knowlegable. It is good to have the doctors and the midwifes in the same office.
I won't be seeing midwifes all the time because I am considered high-risk (due to high blood pressure) and will be having a scheduled c-section. But, I can see them for some appointments and it is nice to have their perspective on some things.
I decided before the appointment not to have the heartbeat checked. The midwife also decided it was too early, so it wasn't an issue.
The good news is that they think that the baby was doing so well at my almost 8 week u/s that my m/c risks have gone down. But, that is also a little scary because won't get another u/s until my NT scan between 11 - 13 weeks. I will start week 11 on Sunday.
They will be using a doppler at my next appointment in 4 weeks.
I am looking into getting a doppler at home so I can hopefully hear the heartbeat sooner than my next appointment and NT scan.
