Hey ladies!

i hope everyone is doing well!

Well, I'm now 11 weeks. only 2 weeks left until the 2T!!! I can't wait. Had a dr's appt today. It was pretty uneventful. Dr did an u/s and we saw the heartbeat again. Baby looks good. and my symptoms are starting to let up a bit. Which is nice.

A couple things did come up at my appt. if you guys have any insight, I'd appreciate hearing from you. First, on Tues, they found that I have a uterine septum. Dr isn't too concerned, but he does want to schedule me for a level II ultrasound at around 16 weeks. he really just wants to get more info on the septum. the only thing he said that could complicate things is that septums can cause pre-term labor. Or it could be totally fine. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The other thing is that my platelet count is slightly elevated. It has been for a couple years and none of my dr's have ever cared about it. My dr did another blood draw today to confirm that the numbers are elevated and if so, he wants to send me to a hematologist. I'm sure they'll still be high, as is he, but because I'm a new patient he needs the documentation. I didn't ask him why it's worth investigating high platelets. I figured if it was something bad, he would have told me.

So if you guys have any insight on these two things, i'd love to hear.

Again, hope everyone is doing well! I can't wait to hear how you ladies are doing.

Hate to chime in here with absolutely no help whatsoever on the two issues that your doc mentioned, but I figured that the least I could do was congratulate you on being 2 weeks from the 2nd Trimester!

Well, I'm back from the dr. Anyone else cry EVERYTIME you hear the heartbeat? It was the sweetest sound. I'm almost 12 weeks and feeling great. I kinda feel like I can actually get excited now. I've been kinda lurking lately because my symptoms have been non-existent for about a week now and I was just afraid. I want to stay here so badly but it's so hard to put my whole heart out there. I know we are all in the same boat and I'm going to try to be more supportive of everyone. I hope you all are having a great week. Thanks!

Tami:
I know just how you feel. I am bout 10 weeks now. I think I hold my breath from one appt to the next.....just scared to death..... I ahve another appt on Monday- the 12th. I am really anxious for that to get here...and of course, scared to death...or deaf, as my 6 year old says. When do you start to feel the baby move? I cant remember.

Hang in there.

Hi, Scarlett,
I was just looking at ivillage and it said the average of when you feel the baby is between 16-20 weeks. I can't wait to get to that point too. It'll be great to feel this little thing inside us and know they're really there! I know I've been pregnant before but I've forgotten all these great milestones too. I had to ask today if I was normal to be kinda showing and that my symptoms are lessening. So much for being a btdt mom!

You know, I don't think I cried at either of my girls' hb appointments, but I'll sure be boo hooing when I finally get to hear this one's hb.

I thought about the doppler, but decided against it for now. I think I would worry too much. I was so far along the last time....I think I would just drive myself crazy....not to mention my doctor..... I may change my mind later.... i think a lot of people use them and really like them...me, I am just too chicken.

I have been feeling these little twinges...since last night. Almost like a nerve pulsing out every now and then. It is not all of the time...just every now and then...like down low.... on my side.. It is not a cramping feeling. Just like a twinge or jump. What do you think that is? Stretching maybe?

Isn't it amazing how different each pregnancy is! Serena, did you have any losses before you had your girls? My boys were my first pregnancies and I totally took every little thing for granted (especially with the second). Aw, I never worried or stressed about anything that second time. After a loss though EVERYTHING matters. Scarlett, my guess is that you're just feeling stretching. I get that a lot and I take it as confirmation that the baby is growing and everything is ok. It's hard not to think the worst but I really think it's a great sign! Serena, is your appt tomorrow? Hope all is well.
