New here - So excited, but so nervous!

Hi - I'm new here, have been lurking for a little bit, but wanted to say "hi" and let you know how much you've already helped me just by reading through all of your postings - it's so nice to know that other people are going through something similar, especially when it can be so tough sometimes.

I had a m/c (my first pregnancy) on New Year's Eve, and we were told by the doctor not to try again for at least 2 cycles. We definitely were not trying, but crazy as it is, we conceived 3 weeks after the m/c - unbelievable. My EDD is 10/16/07. So as you can all understand, it has been so scary this entire time - I just keep waiting for something to go wrong, even though I'm already a month further along then I got last time. There have been some bumps along the way (low progesterone, subchorionic hematoma that went away), but we've seen the heartbeat 3 times now, so we're just keeping our fingers crossed that our little bean is still in there hanging on and getting stronger.

Quick question for you all... does anyone know the stats on a missed m/c (when you don't have any bleeding or spotting) and how often that happens? I haven't had any bleeding, but I keep hearing all of these stories about people that have seen the heartbeat, everything is fine, and then the next time, there's no heartbeat. Is this pretty common? Or am I just ultra-sensitive to these stories? I don't have a ton of symptoms, and no belly yet (I'm 9 1/2 weeks), so I'm a little nervous.

Thanks for letting me vent and introduce myself - best wishes to everyone!

Hey,
I don't have any answers to your questions, but I wanted to say welcome. I also got pregnant 3 weeks after my m/c...it was a bit of a shock. We weren't really trying either. currently I'm 12w3d along and all has gone well. it is definitely hard not to worry, but I think it's normal when you've experienced a loss. We're here anytime you need to vent or express your worries!

I hope you have a very uneventful 9 mine months!

Congratulations!!! I know it's so scary and stressful in the beginning, but the fact that you've seen the heartbeat 3 times now is a great sign!
