I know that I shouldn't worry, but I can't find anything in my pg book about cervical mucus.

Discharge is very normal in pregnancy. I worked at an obgyn office a long time ago and this was a very common complaint. All of the hormone rising increases the cells in your vagina which equals discharge. With my son, I had discharge mainly in the first trimester. I just wore a panty liner and tried to forget about it!

I have been having the same problem. Have to run to the bathroom every time I feel the slightest bit of wetness thinking it may be spotting. It is normal. I asked this same question a few weeks ago and all the girls told me it was normal and some even had to wear a liner b/c of it. Try not to worry.........yeah right, huh?

Ditto on what the pp's said! It's totally normal. The amount of CM you experience will increase, decrease, and change consistency and color throughout pregnancy with no real rhyme or reason. It's just a side effect of rising hormones. You should call the doc though if you experience clumpy, very discolored or funny smelling discharge, just like you would if you weren't pg b/c yeast infections are common during pg. If its just normal CM though, don't worry!

That CM was my 1st pg symptom, and it hasn't slowed down at all!! I'm 18 weeks tomorrow -- some days I have to wear a pantiliner and some I don't... but it's always there! Normal!

Oh get used to it girlfriend! I can't tell you how many pairs of underwear I've had to get rid of because of all the discharge. It's not fun- especially in the 1T when you have to run to the bathroom every hour thinking it's blood. I totally understand your anxiety about it....

But it's totally normal and a good sign of a healthy pregnancy!

Hey Nicole,

I'm having the same thing with the d/c and occasional cramps. At first the cramping was a little worse so I was taking Tylenol (mainly so I wouldn't feel it and start worrying). Now it's intermittent and really mild so I haven't needed the Tylenol. I do keep checking for spotting though, but so far so good!

Have you been running lately? I ran on the treadmill Friday, slowly, but still found that after 10 min or so I was having more cramps, so I switched to the stationary bike and they went away.

Sue-

I haven't been running in almost 3 weeks!! I think the last day I went was the day that I ovulated.

Hey Nicole-
I'm having the same exact thing(s). I've been wearing pantiliners every day too, and running the bathroom compulsively. But I do remember having lots of discharge with my DD too (leukhorrea sp?), and I don't think it ever really subsided! LOL

Same with the cramps...I am just trying to remind myself that cramping is a common early pregnancy symptom. My midwife told me not to worry. Riiiight!!!!
