UGH!! I hate it when dr's offices behave this way. If you are having that level of pain, esp. if you think it might be a problem... go to the ER!! Skip the stingy doctors!!
Oh my, that is so insensitive and irritating on their part! I'd definitely fudge it up a bit. If you've got really good insurance, go to the ER and tell them your pain level is like a 9 or something. That'll usually get you an u/s. Let us know how it goes, sweetie. (((((((HUGS))))))))
Just wanted to add my vote with the others to call back and LIE, LIE, LIE! Some cramping is normal, and I actually had cramping I felt was pretty severe with my pregnancy and all was fine (my doc thought the reason was dehydration though, are your drinking enough?). My doctor is great and I did get to come in for an ultrasound, just to ease my mind. It makes me so angry that doctors are insensitive to this. I hope you get the reassurance you need and that the cramping goes away quickly.
I am sorry to hear you are not getting reassurance from your doc. That sucks:(
I cramped until 14 weeks with DS and its normal but not if you are in so much pain. I would be worried about an ectopic pg or even appendicitis.
I agree with previous posts, a little lie never hurt:)
BTW, I went to the ER with one of my m/cs and they wouldn't give me an u/s b/c I already had one so they knew I wasn't ectopic. So if they ask if you have had an u/s in the ER, say no:)
It's true that some cramping is normal in the 1T due to ligaments and muscles stretching.

Thank you all for your kind and supportive words.
Glad the cramping is better Kelly. Hope you get to hear that little heartbeat loud and strong Thursday!
