Everything went well. I talked to the nurse-midwife and it was very reassuring. We talked about my past births, the m/c's, genetic testing & stress levels. She made me feel very welcome and that I am not a paranoid freak!
She said that once we can get a h/b on the doppler to come in anytime for my own piece of mind. She contemplated trying to find the heartbeat today, but I didn't want her to try. It is way too early for that. I am 7w 5d.
She wanted me to come in next week for another u/s, but DH will be in AZ, so we will do it the week after.
Then yeah! I got a pap...blech. I am glad a switched from my previous practice, but they were better at doing paps and blood draws. OUCHie
She said I was a good pregnant color down there. Who knew your color changed down there? My cervix was high and closed and thick. And I measure right on track with 7w. So, externally all looks good.
2 weeks to know more!

Jacqueline - That's great news! Glad to hear it went so smoothly. The mere thought of giving up 12 vials of my own blood has me on the verge of passing out (I have a little "issue" with needles) but I'm glad to hear that your cervix was a pretty color! Who knew?!?!? :)

Jacqueline,
I am so happy that your apt. went so well.
There was one thing just labeled prenatal, so I am not sure exactly what that one included. Also the HIV test (again), this is like the 4th time I have had that tested. It has always been negative, and no reason for it to change.
Other extra stuff was:
Pregnancy Induced Hypertension stuff, since I had this with Ellowyn. I guess they will look for protiens that don't belong in my blood.
Thyroid test, just to make sure.
Lupus factor in case it changed from last time. I have Sjorens Syndrom which shares some traits with Lupus.
anti-cardiolipin antibodies (ACA)
anti-phospholipid antibodies markers: IgG, IgA and IgM markers
Basically some stuff that can cause m/c plus the normal pregnancy stuff.
