update ... low progestrone

Hi ladies,
I had my b/w Monday, the HCG came back in 38,000s, and progestrone only 14.9, it should be 20+, so mine is really on the low end, they started me on the supository right away, baby asprin also.

I also had a u/s yesterday (sorry I'm behind on my update), we actually got to see my little bean, fluttering away with a HB of 144/minute, my little baby measured 6w1d as of yesterday, EDD on 12/11/2007, I have another u/s on 5/11 to double check the EDD since I never had AF since giving birth to my baby girl Rose. I was so neverous I never got any sleep the night before the u/s, and started shaking when I lay down on the u/s table, covered up my eyes, I told the u/s tech that I wasn't going to look at the screen if she didn't see any sign of my baby... thank God she found my little bean right away.

I am really neverous about the progestrone thing, please keep me and my little bean in your prayers and positive thoughts...

Thank you!

Carol

Thank you Tara for the word of encouragement, they are going to check again tomorrow at 11:00am CDT to see if the suppository is doing the trick.

Carol, I am a PAL grad and saw your post. I too had low progesterone with my youngest daughter - she is now 15m. When they found out how low mine was they actually told me I was going to m/c (again - I have 2 angels). My level at 6wks was 6 (yes, only six). They too told me that it should be closer to 20 but that anything over 11 was "workable". She was also measuring a week behind - but we did see a hb. I started progesterone right away - but my Dr cautioned that it was "probably too late". I credit progesterone with saving my daughter - she arrived via c-section, 1 wk early, weighing in one ounce shy of 9 lbs. Stay strong!

~~~healthy baby vibes~~~
Carol,
I am still so very excited about this news!! I know the progesterone sounds bad, but there are so many women that have a healthy pregnancy with low progesterone. Now you are on the suppositories and that is a very good thing!! Oh and the fact that you had a very nice strong heart beat is even better!!!!
