No Desire for BD at ALL!
| Wed, 04-25-2007 - 12:40pm |
Okay, so since my MS has kicked in I have NO desire whatsoever for BDing...and I feel bad because I only have until May 12/13th before my DH goes to Kansas and then off to Iraq, so of course I want to, emotionally...but there's just no desire.

Oh sweetie, I didn't know your DH was going to Iraq.
I haven't really been in the mood lately either, and I think it's because the all-day morning sickness just completely wears me out, plus i'm not eating as much as I should be and my energy is lower than normal. ALSO I think there's a little fear in the back of my mind that BD'ing could jeopardize this pregnancy. I have no idea if that's true or not, perhaps it's unfounded.
With my first pg, I barely got sick at all, and I was a total horndog the entire time. We BD'ed constantly, up until the end. My poor DH, I have no idea how he even put up with me. LOL
Hopefully you can squeeze in some lovin' before your hubby deploys, you have a few more weeks so with any luck maybe you'll be feeling better in the next few weeks here. Good luck!!!! :)

Erika,
I lost my desire/labido about week 4- and I haven't found it yet!
I can count on one hand the number of times DH and I BD'd when I was preggo.
erika-
i was the same way in the 1T, i waited until 12 weeks to even consider it, then we had sex and 2 days later i ended up with a subchrionic hemmorrage, so now i cant have sex! Im actually rellieved b/c im too scared too (ive had 4 m/c) but i also had no desire.
to tell you the truth, around 10 weeks i started having some really erotic dreams and those have satified me enough! lol
i hope you dh understnads!

Oh ladies.. right there with you. I try to BD at least once a week so DH doesn't go nuts... but between the m/s, and, ::ahem:: my, er, very slow digestive track, the bloating, the exhaustion, breast tenderness and completely irrational fears having m/c'd, I am not in the mood. If I had that much energy-- I should do some laundry or mop the floors. It is so hard on DH-- the tittie fairy brought a whole new cup size, and he hardly ever gets to play! :) hehe. We both work long hours, and it is just hard to connect. (I remind him we've gone through two year-long tours to Iraq.. so he can make it if he has to. heheheh)

I completely understand what you are going through. You feel bad for not doing it but you really don't want to. You will start to feel better soon and will want to then. I always waited to be really horny when i was pregnant the last three times and it never happened for me, but hopefully it will come soon when you are feeling better.

I haven't read the other posts yet, but I think this is VERY common on this board. Between hormones and FEAR, we don't want to get it on in the 1T!! A teeny bit of my libido has returned in the 2T, but I sure wouldn't call it horniness. It's more like, OK, honey, you have 5 minutes, let's make it snappy!! Poor DH.
Don't worry -- you're normal!!
