The popular theory about morning sickness is that the hormones affect the part of the brain that controls nausea and vomiting,,,causing nausea and vomiting. Women get MS in varying degrees due to their brains individual sensitivity to the hormones. Some women are just not sensitive to it at all.Since you didn't get it at all in your last pg, it would make sense not to expect it this time...your body just doesn't react that way. Trust me, you aren't missing much. lol! Of course I could be totally wrong(yeah it happens occasionally!) and you will start puking any minute now! But having or not having M/S doesn't predict the outcome of pg...I had mild MS w/ DS and I had bad MS with the one I lost, and this time it is a little in between, depending on the time of day. So don't get worked up about it :)
When I was really early, I said the exact same thing: "I want m/s! I want to "feel" pregnant!" Wouldn't you know, it hit me goood at 6 weeks...I now have hyperemesis, I've lost 20 lbs, and it's constant misery! But hopefully it means the peanut's ok.
I'm soooooo there with you. I'm somewhere between 5-6 weeks and I keep hoping for m/s, even though I have a severe vomiting phobia! Hang in there, maybe we can keep each other from getting too worked up in this stressful 1T!
