Strong Cramps

I'm 6w4d today and last night some strong and persistent cramps came on and lasted about four hours. They're gone today, but the last time I felt cramps like that was during my m/c in March so it has me worried, although I haven't even seen a spot of blood. Can this be normal in pregnancy?

HI Kara--

I've been getting AF like cramping on and off since a week before the bfp.

I'm coming up on week 12 and I've had cramping on and off throughout this pregnancy- but the sonogram last week showed an active, wiggly little peanut with a strong heartbeat.

I know it is so scary after you've had a miscarriage. I've been lucky enough not to have spotting accompany it, though there are a lot of ladies here who have had that as well.

Think of it this way-- you're body is gearing up for that little tiny thing to get REALLY big and shove everything else out of the way. And the hormones in your body are slowing down your digestive system, trying to get all of the nutrients out of what you eat. So, your midsection is in turmoil and reacting!!

Hang in there and we're wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.

You have had no spotting, so that is a good thing!!

Maybe you can call your Doctor to get some Hcg readings (if that will not freak you out more).

I didn't have cramps, but I was gassy and bloated, so it was hard to tell if I was cramping as well.
