Today I am nine weeks pregnant. This is my second pregnancy. For the past two and a half/three weeks, I have been nauseous most of the day, have had a headache almost every day and have had no energy. I also had smell aversion- that is until yesterday. Today and yesterday my nausea was mild and short lived. I didn't have a headache yesterday and today only for a little while. I didn't have any problems with energy yesterday as a matter of fact it took me hours to fall asleep. I haven't had to run from any smells in two days. And now I'm worried and a little scared. I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks 5 days. I saw the heartbeat and the baby measured one day ahead. I had an ultrasound again at 7 weeks and 6 days and once again saw the heartbeat and the baby measured three days ahead. My doctor was very positive at the last appointment. I do have a cyst which she is monitoring as well but she didn't see it as a problem. She said it was due to progesterone. I will go for another ultrasound next week at 10 weeks and 1 day; so that I can see the baby again. I lost my first baby at 10 weeks and 2 days. It was a missed miscarriage. With my first pregnancy, I had seen the heartbeat at 8 weeks but the baby measured 6 days behind.
Is is normal to have a lessening of symptoms at 9 weeks or is this an indication that something is wrong? Has this happened to anyone and things were still ok?
I was so relieved and happy with the good report at 8 weeks but now I'm concerned. I feel like that I may need to start preparing myself for bad news next week. I had really hoped and prayed things would be different this time. As you all know, it is so painful to lose a baby............ I want nothing more then to have a pregnancy that ends in joy instead of sadness.

I know you are worried, and we all understand that here -- but I think it's completely normal for your symptoms to come and go at this point. Try to stay positive for your little bean!! KUP.

Try not to worry. As the pp's said, they can come and go and who knows, you may feel fine all weekend and then BAM they hit you like a ton of bricks on Monday morning.
Symptoms are mainly how your brain is processing the overwhelming amount of chemicals in your body. A lucky few don't have their brains freak out at all, others have brains that figure out what's going on and adjust, and some people have nausea their entire pregnancies....
I know I've had symptoms off and on.
I had a smilar situation- a missed misscarriage at 10 weeks.
This time around had symptoms from like week 4 until 8-9.
I'll say a prayer for you, and hopefully your doc will be able to give you some extra reassurance at your next u/s.

I remember with my first pregnancy (healthy baby boy!) right around 9weeks I distinctly remember telling my doc that I was nervous because my MS symptoms weren't strong anymore - it turned out to be just a lull in things and they returned again and lasted for quite a bit longer.
Also, for some people they have MS for a very short time - just a few weeks and for others they don't have any, and yet for others they have the symptoms for a looooong time.
Hang in there! I know it's a scary time but stay positive if you can! Focus and visualize your baby growing strong, your uterus holding it in a warm blanket of healthy blood.

Hi,
I know what you're going through. I have had the worst m/s, and the sometimes it just vanishes. I get so SCARED! I hate the m/s, but I hate not having it worse! I'm pretty sure in the 9th week (I'm 9.4 weeks) that it can be normal to have diminishing symptoms and have everything be okay. With my DD everything went away at 11 wks. Keep us posted and try and stay positive!!!!
HUGS,
