Chocolate helps me from constipation, and I have an excuse to eat it (not that I need one!).

OMG! ISn't the constipation the worst? With my other 2 pg I never had it this bad! I find that eating a whole wheat bagel (dry...because anything on it makes me wanna hurl) and Metamucil. Fig Newtons are good too, they don't taste gross. I even went so far as to try glycerin suppositories,umm....yeah....wouldn't recommend that. Prune juice...NEVER again! Metamucil REALLY helps though. I'm on Zofran for the m/s and one of the side effects is constipation. Ugh.

Apple juice, apples, gallons of water a day, no soda, no tea, no coffee, and when it got horrible, metamucil. I'm not a fig or prune girl, but I did chow down on raisins too.

I was at the OB at 8 1/2 wks and 10 1/2 weeks an I gained 5 lbs in 2 weeks, and while they didn't say anything about it, I still think at least half of that was because I was so backed up. They had me on nausea meds that made it even worse, so I decided it was better to feel queasy than to feel even more constipated.
