Unexpected (but good) dr. visit and u/s

Well, my symptoms have continued to be less/different, and this morning I woke up with absolutely no symptoms at all. Yikes. Didn't have to run to pee, bb's didn't hurt, no queasiness, no heartburn, bowels are even back to normal. Needless to say, I was worried, and convinced it was all over. So, I called my OB's office and they had me come in right before lunch.

The doctor did an ultrasound, and there was the baby, heart beating, measuring 10 w 3 days, and moving all around! :-D I was so happy. It really did make this feel real for the first time, seeing those little hands and legs moving around. (I was so relieved, I cried in the car back on the way back to the office.) I thanked my doctor for getting me in because I was so paranoid, and she said 'there are some people who come in every week to make sure everything is OK' - so I didn't feel quite so bad. (Should've asked if I could sign up for that. ;-)

Anyway, though I know I'll still be worrying about everything being OK with my N/T scan in two weeks, this will make those two weeks SO much easier to get through. I can actually feel happy about feeling good today rather than obsessing about it. :-) Hope this will give some of you some reassurance if you need it today, too.

Kitty,

I'm so glad your doctor was able to fit you in and that you got to see your little bean (who's not quite so little anymore!) It does make for a better day, huh? I feel like I've seen women post here that symptoms often do tend to lessen toward the end of the 1T--sometimes as early as 10 weeks. I'm at 12 weeks tomorrow, but my symptoms have always been mild and have always come and gone, so I have to make the mental effort not to think/worry/obsess about it. That NT screen will be here before you know it, and then it'll be smooth sailing (we hope!!!)

Take care,
Wendy

Kitty,

I'm glad that you're feeling good AND the baby is doing well! The little arms and legs are so cute wiggling around :)
