Ugh, I totally know what you mean! I ended up going to my regular PCP's office to get a lab slip for my first quant HCG, because I wanted to know my level right away.
Hey Kim- I had constant awful cramping with this pregnancy at the beginning (I have a 2-year-old and had a miscarriage last August so this is my 3rd pg). This is the only one I had really bad cramping with, but around 6 weeks it just went away and hasn't come back, other than the odd cramp here and there which I'm told is normal. I'm about 16 weeks now.
I know the waiting feels impossible, but try and relax as much as you can in the meantime, and hope and pray for the best. Big <>...keep us posted ok?
I also had cramping and a wicked back ache for weeks 4 and 5. At the end of week 5 it all stopped. At about 5 weeks I got up off the couch and had a ripping tearing pain in my belly....round ligament pain already!!! I was shocked to have it so early, but I had it alot with my son so I recongnized it right away. So from the other pp, I think it is safe to assume that the pain is normal.
Don't think you really need my reply since 4 other ladies have said the same thing, but I just wanted to say that I, too, had TERRIBLE cramps that went through to my back in the beginning--they were worse than when I actually m/c, so I thought I was doomed. Like a PP said, they disappeared around 6 weeks, but OH MY, the round ligament pains!

Don't forget, every pg is different.
