Rachael, the weekly chat is where you get to talk about everything. Mostly I see pregnancy related stuff in here.

On that note....Good morning girls! How is everyone feeling? Nausea caught up with me yesterday. Mostly after I ate I got nauseous. I don't remember getting nauseous the first time until around 6 weeks. Oh well, I'll take it! As long as I'm sick I know there's still a bean in there!

What did everyone do this weekend? I slept! I couldn't sleep enough.

Ugh, time to get ready for work. Have a lovely day everyone!

Good Morning Rachel and Yusra,

Yusra, I'm so glad your feeling sick. That makes the pregnancy seem more real doesn't it? When do you have your first U/S?

Rachel, how is little Mikey doing? Has he been into any more mischief lately?

Good morning ladies, I am new to all of this. I am still just very nervous about every symptom, and whether it is real, or in my head. Or hear is the one that drives me crazy, are the symptoms strong enough. I am having trouble acknowledging the baby. I am so afraid to lose it. If this is normal, how long will I do this to myself? I haven't even called the doctor, I keep thinking I will wait until 7 weeks. If I am still pregnant then I will call. Do I sound way off?

Hi Rachel, Yusra, Danielle, Kristen, and all the 1T ladies!

This is my last week in the 1T! I will hit 13w3days on Thursday and I can't wait! Although, I think it's going to feel less "eventful" than our 12-week ultrasound/NT screen that we had last week. It was so amazing to see a real human-looking person moving around in there. (The place I went had such better resolution than the doctor's machine!) They moved my EDD to 12/24. I feel like we are circling closer and closer to Christmas! I told DH I want a little "Charlie Brown" christmas tree for the hospital if we have to spend Christmas there!

Our latest issue is "will we or won't we?" as it refers to finding out gender. DH had always been very opposed to finding out at the big U/S (which, btw, is scheduled for 7/19!!!) I was open to either, but deferred to him, as he seemed to feel so strongly about it. But then I posted and asked about when pg. felt "real", and most ladies wrote that it felt real when they found out the gender. I've been waffling, and finally brought up to DH that I was thinking maybe I wanted to know. Surprisingly, he said he was waffling too! I think something about seeing a real little person in there, it made it hard to refer to him/her as "him/her" or worse, "it"! I feel like we'll have half as many names to decide on, and may not have to tackle the circumcision question, but reallly, for me, it's all about feeling like I can really bond with this baby. So we'll see. Right now DH says it's totally up to me and he is fine either way, but I really want to try to find out how he really feels about it. So that's my saga.

Danielle, of course we wish you good luck for Weds.! It's going to go great and you are going to be so thrilled to see your bean!

Yusra, yay for nausea! I personally never got so lucky as to have it regularly, so keep in mind that if you don't, it's still okay!!!

Kristen, I think you'll find that most of us stress about having or not having symptoms pretty regularly. Sadly, it's just part of being PAL. The good news is that you can come on here anytime, and find women who will tell you that they felt exactly the same way. There are women with every symptom in the book, women with no symptoms, and the gamut in between. Hang in there!

Hope you all have a great week!

Wendy

Good morning ladies! My symptoms come and go which makes for a steady state of anxiety but I'm constantly "talking myself down" and talking to my baby about staying. I have been babysitting my neighbor's 9 month old and it actually makes me feel much calmer and more like a mama-to-be. I highly recommend it. I've noticed that if I had even one more element of stress to my day I feel much more nauseous. So, I am pretty sure that if I were still teaching Kindergarten right now and not on summer break, I would be feeling sicker. I really do get to chill a lot. Tomorrow is my big 8.5 week ultrasound that I never made it to last time so I'm really anxious to see how it goes. I wish my dh wasn't out of town :(
I hope everyone has an nauseous week!

Hey ladies

I just wanted to pop in and say that since the m/s has been kicking my butt, I went out and bought the (knock off version) Sea band wrist bands. They have little plastic buttons on them that press against an acupressure point on your wrist. Anyway, I have been wearing them for a few hours and I find that they do work. The nausea isn't gone completely, but it really took the edge off. I ate a big plate of veggies and dip for lunch, and I feel pretty good.....of course the bag of skittles that I ate afterwards isn't treating me so well! So anyway, I would recommend trying them if the m/s starts to bother you too much.

Wow girls you were busy while I was at work.

Danille, I'm not sure when my first ultrasound will be. I have an appt. on Thursday to check HCG levels. I don't want an ultrasound until I'm 8 weeks or so. I don't want to be scared if they can't find anything. I want to be good and pregnant before I get one.

Ok, I can't remember everyone's post. I'm exhausted! I'll try to catch up later.
