I had my first trimester screen (ultra-screen) today with a specialist and then an appointment with my doctor as well. I was so anxious on the way to the doctor's office. I had that bad bleeding last Tuesday and even though I had seen the baby alive and well the next day, I was still very nervous. My first loss was a missed miscarriage. Even though my doctor told me it was a different situation, I couldn't help but be worried. I was so relieved to see the baby alive and well today. The specialist said he did not see a subchorionic hematoma and nothing else wrong that could have caused the bleeding. I was concerned about this (the not knowing) and he said its a good thing not to see a problem. Oh, ok. They took the baby's measurements and blood from me and said they would call me with the results in 7 to 10 days. I better not be at a high risk for anything. When I saw my doctor she did a pelvic exam and said everything looks good. She said I can go back to work but for one more week wants me to take it easy- no sex or exercise. She doesn't need to see me again for 4 weeks. I've been going to the doctor pretty much every week for the past 6 weeks. This will be new for me. She doesn't want me to worry about mild cramping- only red/pink blood-then I'm to call and come in. She said I should try and be calm but she knows its hard not to worry. So other than taking it easy, drinking lots of water and getting enough sleep- all of which I can do- I need to work on being calm. So does anybody have any good tips on being calm? I noticed that some ladies have bought a doppler. Do you think this would help me be calm or is it an unnecessary expense?

Hello Rene,
I'm so happy that you had a great visit with your doctor today!! I don't really have any advice for trying to stay calm, but I
I'm so glad you had a great appointment today and your little one looks good.
