Alice, that's a really good idea. What's it called? Travis is starting to get more involved/excited, but I don't think he'll really be there until we see a heartbeat on Monday. He still doesn't want to tell anyone at all until 12 weeks. He knows that I told my friend at work - we saw her the night we got the very first faint line, but he doesn't know I've also told my secretary (she has to know where I am for all these appts!) and my best friend (she called the day we saw the line and said she'd had a dream that I was pg the night before and couldn't remember whether it was real or not, so I HAD to tell her, LOL). I can't keep a secret! Luckily, neither can he, so we'll see if we can compromise. I really want to tell my parents on the 4th if all goes well at our u/s on Monday.
Yusra, I am jealous that you are sick! And very glad that spot is gone. Hope it's not too bad, though. I still have not a single symptom, and get more nervous about Monday by the second, so Candace, thanks for the calming vibes.
I just had to unbutton my pants b/c they were making my tummy hurt. Too bad it's not cause I'm pg, just cause I'm fat.
Let's see what is it called: The Expectant Father by Brott and Ash. He took it to India with him when he recently went there for work. He kept emailing me telling me--okay you need to eat more protein. He insisted that I drink these yogurt drinkables, too. I have family and friends that I told instantly, too. Only the ones in the "inner circle" as I call it. I say tell people when you feel ready. I really wanted to wait until 11 wks to tell extended family and old friends so next week is it! My dh and I were actually talking about how nervous we were about the general public knowing--being PAL members we were both feeling like we are protecting the baby somehow by keeping the secret. I guess trying not to jinx it. Everyday that goes by I feel so much more confident about my little one so I'm almost ready to spill the beans.
Megan, LOL @ maternity clothes. I've been wearing my maternity jeans. I'm SO bloated. Yesterday my bf told me I was showing. I was like no way I'm only 5 weeks. She's like look in the mirror your tummy is popping. Last night I looked in the mirror when I got undressed and did notice my stomach popping. Maybe I'm having twins?
Spot is still gone. Nothing all day! Hopefully spot found a new vacation spot.
Natalie since we are at exactly the same point in our pg's I wanted to know if you are showing at all? Are any of you other gals showing? I sort of look like I stored a lot of food just in my abdomen.
WooHoo! It's Friday!! And I get to be out of the office most of the day, even better!
Natalie, it's good to know I'm not alone. But I'm scared to buy maternity clothes just yet, so I'll guess I'll just walk around with my pants undone for
Alice thanks for the tip on the book! I'm definitely going to have to get it for Charlie.
Twins would be such a blessing, Yusra! I can't wait until your u/s to find out!
Megan you know they make pant extenders, they just attach to your button, I believe. You might want to look into those if things are getting snug...I personally plan to when the time comes!
Okay, so now that the RE moved my due date back...I'm back to the 6w1d mark at which I m/c last time. Today I'm finding myself nervous again. Why must this be so difficult? Sorry to complain, just had to get this out...again...and I knew you would all understand.
The good news is that today is Friday! Yeah for the weekend!
Thank GOD it's Friday. I'm so exhausted. Tomorrow I am going shopping for office decor! yay!
I'm suppose to fly to Indiana next week. It's a 4 hour non-stop flight. My OB told me it was ok to fly. She said flying won't cause a miscarriage. However, I'm at a high risk of blood clots in my legs so I need to get up and walk once an hour. What do you girls think would you fly?
