OMG! That is too funny! Are you completely comfortable with this doctor? You may want to consider changing doctors if you're not (he DOES sound a little cooky) because you're still early on. You have to LOVE your doctor, after all he is the one bringing this beautiful life into this world. Maybe he'll finally believe you're pg when he delivers your baby! Ha ha! :)

Yay! You're preggo! As if you didn't know that already! ;)

Tell me more about the UTI...because I have one! I went in last week for my 1st appointment at 7wks1day, saw the baby on the U/S and had my blood drawn. My doc called me personally yesterday to give me the blood test results and she said everything looks great and right on target except that I have a slight UTI infection, which I wasn't aware of since you pee all the time in early pregnancy anyway. She prescribed an antibiotic, which I started taking last night and will take for 7days. She said UTI's are very common in early pregnancy and nothing to worry about and the antiobiotic will take care of it. I trust her but I also trust those who have gone through this themselves too - PALs!

Thanks and congrats to you!!

Some studies have shown a link between UNTREATED UTI's and miscarriage or preterm labour. When I miscarried in Dec, I had a UTI, but was being treated for it. I think it was bad timing, really. I miscarried because the baby had implanted too low, but I had also just got over an upper respitory infection and was diagnosed with a UTI. I didn't even suspect I was pg that month because I had been feeling so crappy for so long that I just thought I was still sick. I think it was too much for my body to handle and i mc'd. But in your case, a mild UTI that is being treated is not a cause for worry.

Oooooooh, I hope you don't have a UTI!!! STAY AWAY UTI!!!!! I had a killer one at 8 weeks and it was right at the same time as I had hyperemesis, constant barfing, and had to go the the ER twice for IV fluids!!! It caused a lot of discomfort and I took an antibiotic for 10 days. Which, of course, freaked me out since I didn't want to take any medicine in the 1st trimester! So I'm praying for you.

Oh, and DUH we all knew you were PG!! Good job, Dr., on catching up with the rest of us!! :)
