Jennifer, Oh my gosh, we live so close! We're in Talavera at 38th Ave and Jefferson. I just saw your siggy and saw that your son is the same age as my DD. We have alot in common! :)
When I was pg with my angel (right after we moved here in November) I saw Dr. Pacini in Palm Springs. I really didn't care for her or for her office. Office was crowded and when I would call to speak with a nurse or doctor no one would call me back. Their excuse was they were too busy. Everything turned into a nightmare during the m/c and I feel if I had better care/advice that things may have gone a little differently (smoother and less problematic).
I even tried another doctor in Palm Springs when I got pg this time around. I can't remember her name, but I made the appt., got myself and DD ready, drove 40 minutes to P.S. and parked by the hospital, which I'm sure you know is a disaster! Then I get up into the office and the woman at the front desk sends me away because I have my DD w/ me. There policy is not to have kids in the office! Ridiculous, I know! I wasn't even having an exam, I was meeting the N.P., and filling out paperwork, and discussing my history. You think when I made the appt, and said I was a new patient and it was my 3rd pg, that they would have mentioned their stupid policy! I was so mad, I just stormed out and called my OB in OC and made my first appt. I felt God was telling me I wasn't meant to have a baby in Palm Springs! :)
During the m/c I went to DRMC when I started spotting and didn't recieve the best care, but I was in emergency and not up in LDR. I'm sure I would have received better care up there. It was January and the place was packed with people with the flu, so they were super busy. To busy to have a dr. come talk to me after they told me my baby was no lonber alive. The nurse just told me to go home. I had to remind her after I signed the discharge papers that I still had my IV in, and could she please take it out! I hear JFK is NOT the place to have a baby though! LOL! :)
I have a PPO so I'll have to keep Schmitt in mind, at least for well woman exams, etc. Thanks for all you help! Hope you had a great weekend!
