Sex in the first trimester
| Mon, 07-02-2007 - 1:29pm |
I know that the books say that unless you have gotten diretions NOT to, that sex is ok during the first tri. Well I have to say that while my dh is loving my belly and bbs I have this little light that goes on that says: No sex! No sex! Keep everthing safe in here!
It's crazy, I know. I know my dh is starting to go nuts since it has been since before he went to India--so weeks. Is anyone else scared about it. I mean we've probably had sex 2 times since I found out and not b/c that's all he wanted. Anyone else scared?

Oh hon... I know what you're saying... I couldn't have sex in my 1t.
Hey Alice,
I don't know if you're looking for people to tell you "it's fine, go for it", but I know you will definitely find plenty of us who felt just the way you do.
I had no energy or sex drive in the 1T (and for the beginning of the 2T). I felt like I *should* have sex at least once a week, but I didn't have much fun between the nausea, sore boobs, (and sore cervix, tmi) and exhaustion. Just do what feels right for you.

I was told not to DTN because of spotting. But even if I had the green light, I would have been too scared. There's no way I was letting DH touch me until at least the 2T!

Although we have done it a few times since we found out, I find it very hard to relax. I will only allow him certain positions that aren't "deep" and I don't even try to O....I'm just not that into it between the sore bbs and fatigue and nausea. I would rather not do it again until the baby is here, but that is just wishful thinking!
The morning after is stressful too, as I am always running to see if I'm spotting. So far, though it hasn't caused a problem.
