I know that the books say that unless you have gotten diretions NOT to, that sex is ok during the first tri. Well I have to say that while my dh is loving my belly and bbs I have this little light that goes on that says: No sex! No sex! Keep everthing safe in here!
It's crazy, I know. I know my dh is starting to go nuts since it has been since before he went to India--so weeks. Is anyone else scared about it. I mean we've probably had sex 2 times since I found out and not b/c that's all he wanted. Anyone else scared?

Hey Alice,

I don't know if you're looking for people to tell you "it's fine, go for it", but I know you will definitely find plenty of us who felt just the way you do.

I had no energy or sex drive in the 1T (and for the beginning of the 2T). I felt like I *should* have sex at least once a week, but I didn't have much fun between the nausea, sore boobs, (and sore cervix, tmi) and exhaustion. Just do what feels right for you.

Thanks, girls. I just need to take myself there mentally and give it a shot so I don't become scared of it until January. I didn't have much of a libido b4 but my dh always has--like most guys, I guess. It's good to know the rest of you have nervous about it, too.

I was told not to DTN because of spotting. But even if I had the green light, I would have been too scared. There's no way I was letting DH touch me until at least the 2T!

Although we have done it a few times since we found out, I find it very hard to relax. I will only allow him certain positions that aren't "deep" and I don't even try to O....I'm just not that into it between the sore bbs and fatigue and nausea. I would rather not do it again until the baby is here, but that is just wishful thinking!

The morning after is stressful too, as I am always running to see if I'm spotting. So far, though it hasn't caused a problem.

I'm right there with you!! Scared to death...my dh keeps asking. I just can't ... oh and I got validation from the nurse at the RE's office that I'm better off keeping things "quiet down there" for a while just to be on the safe side. She said that often sex can cause some

My husband and I had sex once in the very beginning, around 6 weeks, then I started feeling like crap. I always felt like I was going to throw up, had headaches and was very tired. I was not exactly in the mood. When my symptoms started to subside and I was feeling better at 11 weeks, I had a bad bleeding episode. The doctor told me no sex for two weeks. I have extended that and I'm not sure for how long. I can't have fun having sex if I'm nervous that something bad is going to happen. Fortunately for me, my husband is very understanding and hasn't said boo about it. We just had a conversation about it over the weekend and he said he's worried about the possibility of me bleeding again as well and he doesn't want to have sex if its going to make me nervous. So I'm not sure when we will be doing it again.
