For the past two days I have been having cramps on my left side only. It feels like ovulation pain.

After the follicle releases the egg, it forms a corpus luteum cyst, which secretes the progesterone to maintain early pregnancy. If these are big enough, they can cause pain the same way that follicles can. In ectopic pregnancies, hcg tends not to get very high. So things look very very good for you!

Congrats!

I don't know what causes it, but I've had it on my right side for 2 weeks and everything is still going well. If you find out can you tell me?

I had the same thing I was terrified of ectopic, but I was told it was simply a leuteal cyst which is very ery common, and actually a positive thing

I had pains on my left side as well. Then when I was 6 weeks 5 days the pain got worse. I went in for an emergency ultrasound to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. It turned out I had a corpus luteum cyst and one other cyst. The doctor explained that this is not uncommon in pregnancy and that most dissolve by the second trimester. My doctor monitored the size of the cysts and I was told at 12+ weeks that they were gone.
