Becca, the labs and especially the u/s are a very good thing. All of this sounds quite normal. Though my apt last week was with the actual RE, it was only a u/s and would normally have been with the ARNP if she wouldn't have been out of town. I just lucked in to seeing him. I will have two more visits with the RE's office...both will be u/s only. My first

I agree with the other PPs. Its really normal not to see the doc until 10-12 weeks. My appointment is scheduled for 10 weeks and thats supposed to be the first time I will see my doctor. After I made the appointment I called back asking for blood work and then I guess that prompted them to want to do a u/s to see the heartbeat. I was really shocked when they wanted me to come in for another u/s one week later! Its good that they are doing the u/s and blood work for you. My doctor told me that they don't have you come in earlier until you've had multiple m/c's.

I hope this helps and good luck. Hang in there!

Hey Becca! I'm so glad you're here!

My last dr. wouldn't see patients until 8 wks, so I guess that's pretty normal. Since you're getting an u/s as soon as they think they can see something, that's basically like having an appt much earlier, though. I just had my 1st appt, and other than

Becca, at this point, the labs will tell you more than anything. Try not to worry about not seeing the doc for a while. All they would do is order labs and tell you to take your vitamins basically. Not much else they could do. And we'll help you through the waiting game. Hugs!

Becca, it's pretty normal. I know my ob you meet with the nurse practioner at 8 wks then with your ob at around 12 wks.

Due to my loss I went in for bloodwork and I have an ultrasound scheduled for 7/16 where I will be just over 7 wks.

My Doc treated it differently after I have M/C. My first two (one sucess, one M/C) the nurse saw me to do the documentation and blood test as soon as I called them, And I didn't see the Doc until 10-12 weeks.
After M/C, again, they did the blood work right after I called, and another one two days after to make sure it doubled. And Doc wanted to do a U/S at 7weeks5 days. I know he did that just gave me a peace of mind but seeing that little heart beating away does help calm me down. So, I guess it is pretty normal for 10 weeks. As u say you will do U/S and sounds like you already do the blood work. Good luck. and again it is so good to see you here

Oh Sweetie.. I know it seems like a lifetime away, but having appointments that late is relativity normal.
