Oh Jennifer!

I agree with the pp, I think you need a new OB. I know you said when we were talking last time that you like the peri, but OB sounds like a prick. Can you live like this for 7-8 more months? If you are ready to make the move, I have heard WONDERFUL things about the high risk center at Loma Linda hospital (they wouldn't see me until 10 wks., and that's why I ended up back in OC...because have a heart shaped uterus). But, since you're 10 wks w/ confirmed twins I'm sure they would help you out right NOW. They have a whole children's hospital/OB center there and a new state of the art facility. They are only 25 minutes beyond Palm Springs right off the 10.

Maybe try the ER just for an u/s... There's also a Dr. Novak (Urgent Care) at Hwy 111 and Jefferson. They take appts. btw. I went there for an ear infection at 10 wks and was worried about the baby and he has a fetal doppler and will check the hb(s) for you. Has the spotting subsided any? I hope so!

I am in AZ right now visiting my family, I get back on Thursday. I know you don't know me very well, but if you need ANYTHING at all please don't hesitate to email me. I can watch Anthony while you're at a Dr.'s visit, or make you dinner or something. I'm just right around the corner! :)

HUGS and hang in there!

Jennifer,

I'm so sorry your doctor is being such a jerk. Would your peri get you in this week if you can and explain what's going on? Maybe you can find a different OB, too - he sounds like just a negative person, and no pregnant woman needs that, especially a PAL.

((((HUGS)))) to you and those babies - and P&PT that all is well and you get some answers soon!

What a jerk!! He didn't have TIME to do an ultrasound?!? That takes all of about 2 minutes and would completely ease your mind?!? Some people...
I hope that everything is okay. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts, and sending lots of SBVs your way!

OK, honey... try to take a breath.... everything could still be fine. Your OB and his nurse are jacka$$es!!! I think you might try to find one who is more sympathetic to your feelings. You definitely should have been given an U/S today, imho. If for nothing else, than to calm your fears.

RE prometrium and miscarriage... I was on 400 mg prometrium/day last year for almost a month, during which time I continued to bleed on and off and eventually my hcg #s came down on their own. If I had not elected to have a d&c, I feel certain I would have miscarried naturally regardless of the prometrium. I really don't think it prevents miscarriage, if that's truly what's going to happen.

On a lighter note, your babies are probably fine, and your pain and weird symptoms are probably from a UTI. I had one at week 8 and it was a KILLER!!! I also had trouble peeing. Once the antibiotics got into my system, I was much better.

Hang in there and HUGS to you...

Jennifer, I am so sorry you had such a bad day, and that your doc has NO compassion. I hope he's not like that all the time, and that he truly believes nothing is wrong.

Big hugs and SBVs!

If it is medical reason, I don't think 16 weeks applied. They can't force you to work or fire you when Doc oder you bed rest. I believe it will be illegal. You might want to check with your HR.
Also, Internet can be so much information and maybe too much. I find myself do the same. I check some info and totally freak out. Luckily my Doc always response my questions. And I just know if I go in crying and want a U/S, he will get me one. When I had my last M/C, I called around 1 o'clock and I had my U/S at 4 o/clock. If you are not confortable with how your Doc deal with the situation, find another Doc.

Grrrr,

Jennifer I'm so sorry you had to deal with these people. I hate how people are so nonchalant about your babies and your health and well being.
