I went in yesterday for my 4th draw and had to inform them that I was experiencing (warning TMI coming) slight traces of brown spotting. Well, they are absolutely wonderful at my obgyn office. The receptionist and the nurses squeezed me in right then and there. The doc says the blood is "old, old, really old blood" He couldn't find and source and said the my cervix is closed and I have a good "mucus plug". Not that I would know what a bad one meant. He then sent me for an ultrasound just to see what they could see. Again the wonderful receptionist called the hospital across the street and begged and pleaded and got me in. (I am going to owe this receptionist big!) I am exactly 5 weeks so I knew not to expect much and that is what I got. There was a gestational sack and most likely a yolk sac. That was is. I was also told I have a really long cervix? What the heck does that mean? The worst was that the baby is implanted at the very tip top of my uterus which is tilted back. So the US tech had to use some major pressure to get any type of picture. I did not cry or panic yesterday. Which in the past would have been the norm. I did turn into a raging hormonal witch last night but hey it was a long day. I went through by myself since DH was out in the middle of nowhere without cell phone reception. I am still scared to death. Now my doctor is going to see me weekly just to check on things until we get over the questionable stage. So if you have time, any P & PT would be appreciated! Thank you all for being here and H & H 9 months to all.

Oh Ellen I'm sorry you had the brown spotting scare.
Ellen,
I'm sorry you're having a scare, but so glad to hear that your OB's office is so supportive!
I'm glad that everything is going well for you!!
Sounds like all is pretty good Ellen! And it's great that your cervix is long. That's the way it should be until shortly before you deliver. P&PT will continue.

Ellen,
I'm thinking of you...
