I had mine at 10w 4d. I got to see it all, little arms and legs and it swimming around and kicking. It was awesome. Good luck with yours!!! Stephanie EDD 1/31/08
I've never done the hcg draw thing but thought i would this time, so i went in for my first and got the number, and was afraid/reluctant about going in for
JL, I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks. I thought it was way to early also but my OB wanted to do it.
I was suprised to see a little speck with a beating heart! I tried to scan my pics but it seems my DH unplugged the scanner and I don't like messing with his stuff. As soon as he plugs it in I'll scan my pics.
It's amazing to see the growth from 6 weeks to 8 weeks. In the 6 week pic the baby is just
Yusra, I've been having those stretching twinges too - it's such a weird feeling. I can't wait to see the pics from your appt!
JL, I had my first u/s at 5w6d, and we couldn't see the heartbeat and I was a WRECK for the next week. At 6w6d, the beep was measuring 7w and we saw the heartbeat. I would say wait for that week if you can, your #s look great, then you'll see something for sure.
Alice, I'm impressed that you keep eating breakfast! I think I would have given up by now.
Candace, how are you doing??
Stephanie, good luck with the move. Where are you moving?
I know..you would think I would just stop eating bfast but I figure..one of these mornings it will stay down..maybe? I'm just so hungry in the morning, too! JL, good to see you, too! I had my first ultrasound at....I think around 6 wks and just saw the fetal pole and small baby-beginnings, I went in at 9wks and could see the heartbeating and limb buds and a little movement, I went in at 12 wks and saw the limbs and lots of movement. I had two extra u/s's because my RE was tracking me before I was released to a regular OB. Stephanie- I will be thinking about you and your move! Ps: my twin brother and his wife are doing an egg retrieval for IVF today so can you guys send them extra good energy and thoughts for me? They are TTC #1. x alice
Hi ladies! Sorry I've been MIA for a bit...this sinus infection is really kicking me! I'm feeling better but still coughing and am very dizzy today - though it's sinus dizzy and not pg dizzy, I think.
JL I had my first U/S at what I thought was 6w1d - it measured at 5w6d - but I did see the sac and a tiny little flickering heartbeat. Also, they told me not to worry about the size -babies come in all sizes. I then had my 2nd U/S at 8weeks and there was an AMAZING difference. You could see a huge head (relative to the size) and formation of the body and arm/leg buds...and of course a great heartbeat. We were blown away by the difference in size in 2 weeks -- the first time the bean measured around 3mm and the second around 16mm! I'll have one more U/S next week at 10weeks at my 'graduation' from the RE. Apparently my OB will take over from there. I don't think I'll get another U/S until 20weeks. But they will listen for the heartbeat with the Doppler at all of my visits.
Alice I'm sending lots of P&PT to you and your twin today. Keep us updated!
Alice, I'm there with you on the m/s as of today. But mine started at lunch time, and I've been nauseous all day :( DH was laughing at me...not in a bad way, but because he knows it's a good sign for pregnancy. I'm sure my job is just hating me. I was out on vacation last week, I called in sick on Monday with the upper respiratory infection, I only worked a 1/2 day yesterday because at lunch time, I still felt like crap and started "running a fever" (It was a whopping 98.7...shhhhh), and I took a 2 hour lunch today cuz I started puking, and the only way I could stop was by laying still.
Also sending your brother and SIL lots of baby dust :)
Stephanie - good luck with the move! Where are you moving from/to?
JL - It's nice to meet you too. I won't have my first u/s until next week, and I'll be 8w4d. They just did blood work when I told them I was pg to check my HCG levels, and they were doubling. I didn't even ask what the numbers were so I wouldn't overanalyze. Your numbers definitely look fine!
Jennifer - that is so awesome that you are feeling the babies move!!! I can't wait for that day. I'm so sorry that you aren't feeling good though. It's hard enough as it is without having a little one to take care of.
Candace - I'm sorry to hear about your sinus infection. Mine are totally blocked up too. My doctor gave me the Zpack for the antibiotic, and all I can take for sinus/coughing is sudafed or robitussin, but not both at the same time. The Sudafed gets me jittery and keeps me awake, and the robitussin tastes awful :(
