HCG Slowdown?!!!

I swear every time I talk to the doctor I end up in a panic. This last weekend was so nice b/c I knew nothing. Okay since last Thursday's scare I got my blood results on Friday which read: Hcg 1100 but Prog 13.4. I am already on 100mg once a day so we went up to twice a day. He had me come back in on Monday for another draw and to let them know if there was anymore brown blood, or any spotting whatsoever. Had a nice relaxing weekend (I think it b/c no doc or worry about test) So I went in Mon and got the results today: Hcg 27202 and Prog 17.8 (that's my highest prog # yet). Doc says it still is looking good, not to worry and instead of this week he will see me next Mon for another draw, next Thurs for an U/S and next Fri for an appt. I think cool and I hang up the phone. Then I realize that there was 4 days in between blood draws and not the normal 2 days. Now I am worried. I was doubling at 1.3 days up until now. Three thoughts keeping revolving around my head:
1) I had such high HCG levels to begin w/ and since they were doubling so quickly my body is just slowing down a little. Seems far fetched.
2) I thought maybe I had seen that as the numbers get so high then the doubling process slows down -- IF SO PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHEN THIS HAPPENS like around these numbers or when they are higher????????????????
3)This is the start of another mc.
So as usual the doc has called and now I am uptight and worried all over again. You all have been so super helpful before. Thank you for the past advice and for the future help. H & H to all!

It can take up to 72 hours on average for your numbers to double. Just because it was doubling fast than that in the beginning doesn't mean anything is wrong. Your body doesn't always follow the rules-- just as every pregnancy is different when it comes to symptoms, etc, your hormone levels may not progress in a textbook fashion-- but that doesn't mean anything is wrong.
The important thing is that the numbers are up. There is such a thing as too much information. Do not let those numbers rule you. You're over 27000! That's a good thing!
Your doctor will tell you when there is cause for concern-- it seems as though they are monitoring it appropriately. Just try not to buy into the fear. It's hard, but you have to have faith!
Don't worry sweetie.
