Has anyone experienced extreme dizziness. It's almost 3 o'clock and I woke up because I was so dizzy. I feel like the room is spinning and I've had one too many drinks, but of course, I haven't. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them before? Tonight is the first night that I really felt queasy for an extended period of time. I usually just have waves that hit me then go away quick.

I have had some dizzy spells, but more like seeing stars, then room spinning dizzy. With my oldest DD I would get really bad dizzy spells and pass out all the time. Was put on Bed rest after i was found passed out at a bus stop at 5 months. I didnt have GD with her or high blood pressure, it was just something that happened. If it continues you should get into see your Dr. ASAP, it could be something to due with Blood pressure or blood sugars or it could just be a symptom of this pregnancy. Take it easy when it happens and monitor how often.

I have had some dizziness, but it's more like light headedness than the room spinning. You might want to get that checked out. A few years ago, I had vertigo, which is similar to what you are describing. When I layed flat on my side...(mainly my left), the room would start spinning. It turned out that I had crystals in a part of my inner ear that was cause the spinning sensation. It was actually very easy to fix. I went to an ear specialist and there are these exercises they did to move the crystals out of that part of your ear. No surgery or anything was required. It hasn't bothered me since. Anyway, vertigo (which is the sensation of the room spinning) usually has to do with your ears, so I would highly recommend going to your doctor.

Mentioning it to your doctor is probably not a bad idea, but I bet it's nothing. I've been having dizziness for the past few days and recall having the same thing the last time I was pregnant and about this far along. It's every time I stand up but it also happens occasionally while I'm just sitting there. I thought I was going to fall out of my chair at dinner last night. My doctor said it has something to do with increasing blood volume in the first trimester. HTH.

Yes, I had this too with all of my pg. I do have low blood pressure, but they said what I really needed to do was drink a TON of water and eat a bunch of small meals during the day. Stand/Sit up slowly too....that really helped me. By the time the 2T hit it was gone!
